I posted this in another thread, but go look at the '91 team and see how many mid week loses to in state schools they had. The pitching injuries may doom this team, but the mid week loses are nothing new or even to be concerned about. Hell, Ole Miss had a losing record in the SEC and won the damn CWS !

Don't play along with their douchebaggery. When the University of Louisiana system was established all members agreed that none would claim the "Louisiana" moniker. USL/ULL broke their word before the ink was dry. They are not and will never be "UL".

We came in and embarrassed LsuamBR last night. Troy did it in tiger stadium on homecoming. Southern miss ended their season last year. Coastal has a more recent national title in baseball

But to act like it doesn’t matter to the players and fans is asinine. There is literally 20 threads about this game. The Cajuns were without two of their best players and LSU was without some of theirs.
1. Anything short of hosting a Super and making the CWS Finals and this season will be a disappointment. So a lot of fans expect perfection and only allowed to lose one game per series to a ranked opponent.
2. Most fans know ULL is not some cupcake Baseball School. But many die-hard LSU fans like myself have had to field texts and Social Media jabs all day from ULL friends/fans talking shite about the game. A female friend from HS started bright and early this morning.
But to be fair I posted this last night while walking into The Box. And I said we have better boudin on this side of the Basin.

Probably not your fault due to being a product of the Louisiana public school system but your take is laughably incorrect.
Initially when USL submitted its intention to rename or rebrand their moniker to become the University of Louisiana, the university had
followed every applicable guideline, rule, or established precedent set forth by the state. So fearful were the tigah backing legislators, they drafted and passed a new state law to prevent “lil brother” from changing its name.
For a legislatively decreed “flagship university” to lash out and overreact to an inferior academic institution’s renaming, screams an apocalyptic level of insecurity on an ungodly spectrum!

Last game I saw they were better. Maybe defining better would be a better way getting around to it.
