I got this from SEC RANT

Maybe this is why our home runs are down?

Has less to do with the bat and more to do with how many schools use each brand. Louisville slugger sponsors like 60% of college baseball programs.

Is it possible that these stats, assuming they’re true, is due to Marucci simply being used by fewer schools than Louisville Slugger or Rawlings? All those stats could just be due to a numbers game.

Did it affect the amount of homers we hit the past 2 years?

Yes it has been way past time to end the Marucci experiment. Proof is in the pudding.

pic says they only counted top 300 batters for each bat.

but even then, it’s not an easy comparison to make due to different ballparks, etc.

Edit, my bad, 300 total players.
meaning not an even. umber of players, so using totals instead of averages is stupid.

they are sampling 300 players.

Marruci sponsors 38 teams

so 300 players is going to be most of the starting lineup of those teams. it’s on average 7.8 players per team

now if you sponsor 100 D1 teams you get to cherry pick the best players.

across 300 players LS is still averaging like 3.3 HR a player. so even they’re digging for HR.

So there is that too

You need percentages or it is meaningless.

How many HRs per pitch using various bats? The OP is worthless without more context.

As others have pointed out, that still doesn’t make it an even playing field. If 150 teams use LS, 300 is the top two HR hitters on each team on average. For Marucci with only 38 teams, that’s 7.8 players per team. Obviously you are scraping the bottom of the barrel going that deep into those rosters.

How about letting them play in tiny parks like SCe, Tenner and UGA?
