Yeah, I believe it. With a crowd of 100,000 7-8 times per year there are bound to be instances of fans doing rude, disgusting things. At least one opposing fan gets cursed at per week. If they post it on their board, it gets spread a thousand times.

It doesn't even make sense to me. If you walk around LSU on a gameday, there's a hell of a lot of food being cooked and if you do happen to catch someone cooking corn dogs, it's most likely being done ironically. Now, if someone were to say we smelled like we just crawled out of the swamp, that would make sense. Still not a burn, but it would make sense. This whole corn dog thing has just always missed the mark with me. It's not funny, smart, or even the least bit insulting.

other fans are that. As if any one group consists of clones that are all exactly alike.

I get your overall point. But TAMU fans actively try to achieve this.

Ive been known to tigerbait any living human that steps in my way at games, yes old people and children as well, and i also have been guilty of handing out tbe ocasional knuckle sandwich to those that take it to far, old people and children excluded, but i have never, myself, lived up to the horor stories opposing fans say about us!

In my many years of being a season ticket holder and tailgating I've only witnessed one incident in which I was embarrassed to be a fan, and it involved an altercation between some LSU fans and some Florida fans after the 1997 game. A group of us broke it up pretty quickly.

I think coming to an LSU game as an outsider is a big culture shock for a lot of opposing fans. LSU fans will invite you into their tailgate, feed you and your family and then proceed to talk shite about how we're going to beat your team. It's just friendly banter in the minds of most Louisianans, but it comes off differently to other people. I think that's how many of the stores have evolved over the years.

I’d argue that we’re the most hospitable fan base. We actively welcome everyone in and share everything. We even sit our visitors on the lower level of Tiger Stadium.

Over 40+ years, I’ve only seen a handful of outliers. Some people can not handle getting ‘Tiger Baited’ or any other type of friendly banter.

Why would we smell like corn dogs? In my 45 years of Fandom, i have never seen anyone eating or cooking one. It's really stupid.

I am all for having a laugh and don't give a shite if it's a joke about me or LSU. But, the corndogs thing is seriously the dumbest shite I've ever heard. The only time I've ever really smelled that smell is at the state fair.

I genuinely believe most fanbases are mostly full of good people. If you go (or come) and are generally respectful, you will have a good time.

People come here and get a "tiger bait" then get invited for a bowl of jambalaya.

I have tailgated with some random UF fans in Gainesville and had a great time following getting hit in the face by a half eaten apple 15 minutes before on campus.

I try not to let one drunk college kid or overly bourbon'd adult ruin my experience.

The stuff you shared absolutely happens. An LSU cheerleader got stiches once after getting hit by a glass bottle. When you have 200-300k drunk fans on campus, things will happen, but it is a microcosm not a whole.

We do have a reputation. Plus people day drinking and then heading in to Death Valley with a full head of steam. It’s why it’s so loud.

I think our fans were a lot worse in the 90s when we were in the dark ages and lightened up once we started to win championships again.

I've seen a couple of bad apples, but I also think we invite way more visiting fans into tailgates than any other school.

I've gone to games in Tiger Stadium with Bama, Ole Miss and Auburn fans over the years. They got heckled some, but it was all just fun banter like "Tiger Bait" and I've gotten much worse on several SEC campuses. My Auburn family/friends actually got free drinks all night after they lost in 2017 from random strangers at bars.

The biggest retard trash fans I’ve ever seen were Tennessee fans after their two losses to LSU in SECCGs.

That’s all I have.
