Some of us prefer not to hand the program over to a guy that thought it was okay to recruit and play someone that molested their sister.

Me either. The man made them a powerhouse and 100% didn’t cover up a sex offender. The kid made an awful mistake but that was never supposed to resurface like it did. Just a bad situation overall

So the molesting is okay because he thought no one would ever find out.

Even though Casey knew during his recruitment.

62 years old, out of coaching a few years. West Coast for a long time.

Is that the best we can do?

Turned a blind eye to a pedophile. He's not the only coach who could win here. Next coach.

Agree. Would be a damn solid hire.

People knighting for Cannizzaro who’s a complete greaseball.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills watching other posters trying to spin Casey and Heimlich as being some misunderstood martyrs.

The shite came out in 2017 about Heimlich. He left the team and went I drafted.

Casey allowed him back in 2018 en route to a natty.

Do not want.

I’d be very interested to read some of these same posters comments at the time.

I feel like I’ve been pretty consistent in my stance that child molestation = bad.

I don’t feel confident some of these other people have been.

I don’t care about the pedophelia issue. What concerns me is his age and the fact he retired for health reasons and has been out of coaching several years and his not having any ties to Louisiana and surrounding states for recruiting. He obviously knows baseball and is a proven winner. So I guess I could live with it.

Did Casey know this when recruiting him? I am of the understanding that he didn’t.

Then after having a young man on his team for 3 full seasons (right before CWS of his junior year) this news becomes public.

Is it okay for the coach to try and help the young man out? Try and give him a chance at resumption? Of his the head coach supposed to say, “I didn’t know you when this thing happened (allegedly), but I’m going to ruin any chance you have at every having a future in baseball“ (which he lost millions because of this)?

I'm Catlic. It doesn't absolve Casey for his actions regarding Heinrich, if anything it makes it worse due to Casey's " devout religiousness ". Just another Catholic hypocrit in my book.

I have no problem with him recruiting the kid to osu. They didn’t know about the kids past. But the fact he let him back on the 2018 team after the facts came out, no way should he coach here. LSU has a huge target on its back because of the rape and domestic abuse cases currently alleged. Why do you bring a coach in that has this past. Is he a great coach, yes. Should LSU look elsewhere, absolutely
