And you can’t stop the car? Happens to me frequently. I mean, in my dream the car could be going 5 miles per hour behind another car and I just can’t find the brake. Inevitably hit said car. Very frustrating!

I have dreams (nightmares) where I’m trying to protect my family from an intruder and I can only move in extreme slow motion

Yes! And why in the hell won't my punches ever land?

Yup. Can barely drive straight too. I have that awful dream most of my teeth fell out too all at once. Crunchy mess.

No

I have reality where I am driving the car and trying not to wreck it while a woman from my past is distracting me.

Not exactly that, but I used to have dreams where I am on a raised curve at night and am clearly going way too fast, but I can't slow down and I slowly overturn and fall off of the overpass. Freaked me out big time.

Thankfully I haven't had that in a while, although I suspect I will now because of this thread.

It drives me insane when I hear my alarm going off inside a dream and can't figure out where the sound is coming from.

Teeth falling out

Car not stopping

Slow motion

Punches not landing

You guys are checking all my dream boxes off right out of the gate. Throw in the final exam for a class you haven’t attended.

All of these and #5 for me is trying to throw a football or baseball and not being able to

Oh, crap! Forgot about this. I still have dreams where I am driving too fast and go around a curve and turn the car over. Horrible!

You’re welcome.

I punch extreme slow motion and inflict zero damage.

I always wake up sweating after this nightmare.

That’s a theme for me. I think what it boils down to is not being able to achieve in my dream. I’ve had good dreams where I can’t get the ball to stay on the tee, or can’t swing a club, or lose the clubs. It doesn’t matter what the objective is, I can’t fulfill it.

It's not my punches don't land, it's that I punch like I'm under 50 feet of water and my arm has the power of wet toilet paper

Dude always looks at me like wtf that's it?

But I can do gravity-defying leaps and fly, so there's that.

Oh, been retired from the military for 11 years now, still have dreams where I'm back at work but I have a full beard, forgot half my uniform, etc and just know I'm about to get my arse ripped.

Every dream I have seems to devolve into some sort of repetitive task/vignette where I simply can't get the job done. Over and over, created mild distess. And almost every time it seems to be my brain's way of saying "you need to get up and urinate".

This is funny. I remember when I was younger I would be batting hit it to the fence and can’t run can’t even crawl it was excruciating. Thought I was the only one with slomo dreams never talked about it till now.
