No.

If the 2019 roster is a 10, this roster is probably a 5. There have been a few opportunities to be a little better than that, but not much. There were still too many roster gaps left by the old regime

The recruiting level is back to where peak LSU teams were.. It's only a matter of time

i think he lost a LOT of good will and benefits of the doubt.

had we lost in a very close game that would have been one thing, to look Hallman level bad for 6 straight quarters now is something else.

I’m off the bandwagon until Kelly earns it back.

…but I’m no longer getting my hopes up or drinking the kool aid. I expect he’ll be here another 3 or 4 years. He won’t destroy the program but he also won’t win a natty. We’ll hover between 9-11 wins a season with losses to the juggernauts and a head scratcher here and there.

No. He’s obviously rich, fat, and complacent now. He’s going to accept 10-3 seasons and enjoy the high life rather than push hard for championships

Yea. I’m done with him. But I’m kinda done and frustrated in general with both the Saints and Tigers.

100%. I’ve defended him from the beginning. Saturday was it for me. He’s in over his head

What if he doesn't fire then rehire Corey Raymond? What about the Polian special teams? What about the Matt House defense?

Did USC have more talent than us this year? What about A&M?

I never cared for the hire. He wasn't and still isn't a good fit. He never won anything worth a d@mn at Notre Dame and benefited from being the Independent/Media Darling with a soft schedule every year. That's why I never gave a shite about people saying "hE's tHe wInNinGest cOacH iN ThE cOuNtRy"

He has the same excuses. Always has a snobbish arse attitude and tries to mask it with fake humor in his pressers. His Notre Dame teams were always soft and that same soft culture has made it's way to LSU.

This is a 7-5 or 8-4 football team that benefited from a little luck to escape from South Carolina. In 3 seasons here, his teams have always lived on the edge against P4 opponents. He rarely has his team fully prepared to put together a dominant game from start to finish.

I was very excited about a coach like him coming here. We needed some stability, which he's at least brought.

But his ceiling is 10 wins. He'll never do enough to get past that. Even if we get lucky and make a playoff berth, I think we'll be a one and done.

HE asked for 3 years. I dont need for year 3 to finish before I am ready to can him. That's not gonna happen though... so... we're stuck with him till at least 2028

He lost me Sept 1 too. It took so much time and money - we had planned a big blowout. Just add in Alabama destruction makes me extremely frustrated that we can’t rid of him. I really am done with him.

He seems to be content with a 10 win season..
well then even he won’t be content this year as it seems 10 wins will be a stretch.

This is where I am. It could definitely be worse - we could be in Auburn’s position, or Arkansas’s position, or 8&4s position before this year. Even USCw’s position would probably be worse right now. But I don’t think he’s going to ever have us consistently in the title hunt past November.

I started feeling this way with the USC loss in Week 1, this 1.5 week meltdown reinforces that. We’re no stranger to losing to Bama, but we’re usually not blown out to this extent. It’s clear that either he’s not able to fix fundamental flaws in the team (ineffective running game, miserable center play, mobile QB defense), or he’s not able to identify coaches and analysts that can figure it out, or there’s nothing schematically that can be done and it’s a talent evaluation/development issue. All of that is his responsibility at Year 3.

So in year three Lincoln Riley has built a better team than Kelly and last years 7-6 A&M that lost Evan Stewart, Walter Nolan, LT Overton and Fidel Diggs with a freshman QB and a first year coach is better than LSU?

It's just talent? I mean ok Lester

Kelly has had 2 full recruiting classes. The best players on the team are freshmen, sophomores, and the portal players he recruited here.

like you think he can just snap his fingers replete the roster overnight? lmao. It was in bad, bad shape.

You seem want to blame everyone but Nuss, which is frickin hilarious, as bad as he had played all year. Kelly's biggest mistake coming into this year is not taking a transfer portal QB.
