which is why i'm confident going forward. if this is what happens when he's off, we're in good shape.

some of his passes were off just a little bit from his usual sharpness. his TD to a wide open Jefferson was low. And I remember a couple of passes that just weren't typical Joe. He was probably a little nervous about this game just because of what happened last year. I think going forward he'll be all business.

whew! glad to get that off game out of the way!

He did have a horrible completion percentage of 71.8%.

I think he was a little gimpy from the horse collar tackle...but he is so tough he played through it.

He absolutely was. You could tell he was walking gingerly the rest of that series. Still crazy how high he's set the bar this season though.

I honestly though it was the wind. The last two games he has been short on a few throws. He has also had a bit of a limp since Alabama and on the bike to stay lose. I think it is a normal season of football aches and pains.

It was pretty damn windy Saturday night. Maybe that had something to do with it. THAT certainly won't be an issue in any remaining game.

Plus A&M flushed him out a good bit. They brought pressure.

A&M did a decent job of taking away some of the crossing routes over the middle that have been so successful this season. It made Burrow have to hit some vertical routes & throw to CEH in the flats but he did that with good success.

I have begun thinking "take the sack so you don't throw an incompletion"

That play scared the hell out of me. It looked like big leg rolled up under him and the defender and I damn near jumped for joy when he got up and trotted back onto the field.

after the horse collar, tv showed him on the sidelines on a bike. I have never seen that for Joe before. I felt like he knew he needed to get his body stabilized from the blow. He is one tough son of gun.

A&M dropped 8 into coverage ALOT and also had a spy on him on most plays.

I think the record thing was in his head, just because there were a few plays where he typically keeps it for 10+ yards, but decided to pass it into tight windows.

This is what will absolutely be NAUSEATING to hear next year.

Quarterback throwing 70% complete "isn't good enough"

Joe Burrow has set the bar so high, that spoiled-arse-rotten LSU fans won't be happy if Brennan (if he ends up our guy) is like 68-72% complete, which is still better than Many other QBs in the nation.

Top Billin on YouTube said that is the ONLY way teams will be able to slow Burrow down. A&M had a good scheme, but once CEH gets going, he’s going to eat you alive if Burrow doesn’t

I did notice it too. But I figured it was a combination of:

1. he really wanted to beat the frick out of the Aggies to make up for last year, so he was geeked out
2. the emotions of this being his last game in the stadium, the gratitude he has for LSU and it's getting close to the end for him on this chapter
3. the horsecollar tackle
4. the Heisman race
5. the passing yardage record
6. the td record
7. last but not least, the chance to finish undefeated going into the SEC Championship with a very strong possibility of winning it all - everything on the line for that

His slight drop in accuracy in the Vandy game after getting rolled up on, and into the next game, was when I noticed it. I didn't really notice much of an accuracy lull Saturday night. But, I've yet to finish watching it on DVR.

the wind was ridiculous at times. I thought he was incredibly sharp considering the conditions.
at one point just before the Chase 78 yarder, an L card the cheerleaders were holding blew across the field faster than a person can run.
