I sat there and listened to the interview and Dick says we can't implicate Zion because the alleged payments were to his dad and not him. He seems to believe that it's possible Zion had no knowledge of it. 
Let's pretend he actually believes that and go back to the Will Wade wire tap transcripts. He talks about a strong offer for "Smart" Who's to say Wade wasn't talking about Javonte's mother, Melinda Smart. Javonte's first name was never used, therefore that offer could be made to the mother. And therefore Zion and Javonte are in the same boat, I wonder how Dickie V would respond to that.

Exactly. Basketball guy who massively underestimated our fan base and passion. This will not finish well for him. Actually quite comical on the interview that he has zero humility. Even tried to promote his book at the end.

Very good point.
I wish we could have another “do over” interview with DV and put that and other questions mentioned in this thread to him. But tell him to take a Zanax first so the interviewer (whomever it is) can get a word in edgewise.

You’re 100% right and Vitales response to that would probly be screaming, belittling you and name dropping his powerful friends. That seems to be the way he handles any question .

That was the moment in the interview where he lost the little credibility he may have had. He went on a rant about how all the stuff with other schools is just hearsay right now and he doesn’t just make assumptions without proof. But when Jordy pointed out that Smart, the LSU player in question has been cleared to play, Dick’s response was “Come on! It’s more than just Smart”. So he had no problem making a big assumption about Wade and LSU. The hypocrisy was astonishing.

I’m gonna be honest, I for the most part don’t really care about basketball, but listening to Vitale try and defend his buddies Rick Pitino and Bill Self on one hand while getting the pitchforks and torches out for Will Wade is fricking laughable. He says Wade bought his players, like it’s 100% fact but when they brought up Self’s text where, in plain English, he told the middleman he offered Zion Williamson $100K to go to Kansas, Dicky V is all like “That doesn’t prove anything”. It’s crazy talk.
