He used his experience and his belief that Wade has been rightfully suspended to shift the focus away from his hypocrisy. It was a classic song and dance interview. He sounded like a politician trying to say as much as he could without saying anything at all.

If it blows up and makes Vitale look more like a clown nationally that is good for us, especially considering this administration is obsessed with what the media thinks of the University.

There’s honestly no way to do this radio spot justice with a write-up. Like, even if you think you can imagine it, Dickie V. going on a protracted rant off the top before he’s even asked anything is something to behold. That’s not even the part that gets me the most. If the man wants to take up for his friends go ahead just don’t lie about the facts surrounding the Wade situation. How many times did he refer to “the tape? There’s no tape for public or his consumption. All we have are a few hand picked quotes from a hack writer who’s notorious for making up stories to attack programs. When he mentioned Forde I almost feel off my stool laughing. Pat Forde is a known liar and those quotes weren’t confirmed by any official. The other beautiful lie is when the host brought up the fact that Smart is cleared and playing and Vitales reponse was “it’s not just Smart” lmao this guy lies more than he tells the truth.
