When NOTHING happens. Lester ,I am sure you love LSU but seems like you sure doubt everything they do behind the scenes. Believe me nothing is happening, unless lots of blue bloods go down too. Not happening. We have a real AD . We have a game plan and have home field advantage.

You don’t know anything and have proved that.

It would seem to me LSU's chances of getting punished for this went away the day that Smart was reinstated. The NCAA investigated him, found no eveidence he was paid, so LSU reinstated him. If there was evidence, LSU would have never played him. I hate to tell Dick, but its over.

What did Coach Wade offer on that recording?
WW is quoted on the FBI wiretap talking about improper offers made to players (plural meaning more than one).
quote:
Can you quote where Coach Wade admitted to paying a player and where he admits to breaking any rules?
Anyone with any sense knows what WW meant when he said "strong arse offer." Also, WW referenced offers to other players. These were not scholarship offers as he was talking to Dawkins. Also, other coaches were discussing WW's "offers" which anyone with any sense knows was money.

All I’ve seen is a vague use of language that lacks any admission of wrongdoing. Some have chosen to assume what the meaning behind the language is, but the language itself is very vague.
You should sign up to be WW's defense attorney.

So the answer is no.

he went on to say he’d compensate more than the league minimum
Welllllllllll .... he actually said the rookie minimum first as a joke for a player that was unavailable AND THEN when on to say strong arse offer.
But, I get your point. He can't be saying that shite at all, much less on the damn phone.

Hey, we all enjoy that we’ve actually been competitive in the last couple of years, but you have to realize that Wade is toast. I hope Woody can made a good hire to replace him.

But you are saying that there is proof over and over and over again.
Nope....there is plenty of circumstantial evidence.
quote:
Don't you think these things would have also been discussed on those recordings between Dawkins and Wade?
Maybe...maybe not. Most of the conversations with Dawkins were obviously "cautious" with the use of details. Further indication they all knew what they were discussing was wrong.
quote:
So he admitted to making a monetary offer on the recording? I don't think he did.
Well, most people on this board admit that WW was cheating (and they support him doing it). And, if they admit he was/is cheating, then his "strong arse offer" is certainly money.
quote:
You can assume that, but the NCAA can't go off of assumptions.
You call it "assumptions" and I call it "circumstantial evidence." And, people are convicted solely on "circumstantial evidence" every day.
quote:
Of course I think he did.
So, if you believe WW cheated, then he deserves whatever comes his way from the NCAA....right?

I'm hopeful but very concerned. I try to be optimistic with both outcomes. If he stays then we have a great class and a good looking roster. If he goes, Woody has shown he will back his coach and hopefully that makes the job a little more attractive.

Crazier things have happened, he could find a way to stick. I just think in the end LSU could do better. Wade has recruited well, I really appreciate that his teams can hit free throws, but he’s not a master strategist.
ETA: it’s kind of like the DiNardo situation. Fans have endearing memories of him because he was much better than his two immediate predecessors, but the fact was he wasn’t that good of a coach.

I love how everyone gangs up on someone with a different opinion. I guess we will wait and see what happens.

Believing it and thinking it is different than proving it, numbskull

Here’s your pattern
-assume, twist and spin Wade’s quotes then present those assumptions as fact
-use fake support like “everybody knows what he meant” or “everyone here agrees he cheated”
-once exposed you back off and alter your position
-start the entire process all over again
You give LSU fans a bad name, if your opinion is Wade cheated fine but stop lying about the facts.

I've already said, if some concrete evidence comes out that we don't know about, then of course Wade deserves to be fired.

The guy has literally said that an allegation made by a media pundit is the same thing as an NCAA sanction. Yesterday he kept saying that “allegations” were in the mail lol. The guy is a moron.

Where is he quoted doing such in explicit terms?

So more assumptions about what the vague language “really meant.”

Will has a really good attorney, but thank you.
