If it is LSU, it’s not about wade. It’s about the LOTL issues and with football. As for wade, there is zero evidence

Arizona is a definite. One of their assistant coaches plead guilty to Federal charges and their was evidence (to some degree) of Arizona's "malfeasance" entered in to the court records.

LSU very well may get Notice of Allegations. However, the evidence against them seems a bit more tenuous. The is NO DOUBT Wade is talking about payments to players on the wiretap we all heard on the HBO special. You'd have to be naive or willfully disingenuous to believe otherwise. However, is there any evidence that offers were, in fact, made and money was accepted? That might be a little more difficult to prove if the players all say "no" and Wade/staff says "no". Certainly the NCAA could get other witnesses to testify that Wade was paying players. But all of those guys...Richardson, Dawkins, Miller, etc would have their own credibility issues.

But an inquiry and investigation are two different things.

A letter of inquiry sparks the investigation dude

This is all in the NCAA rule book. It’s actually pretty easy to understand if you want to read on it

Vitale sounds pathetic, like the jilted ex-girlfriend. I bet he calls the NCAA offices daily to complain about LSU.

I would think an offer is enough to be considered a violation whether accepted or not.

The NCAA doesn’t announce investigations publicly

The KU basketball allegations from the NCAA are a direct result of the FBI’s investigation in 2017 in to multiple programs.

The same investigation LSU bball / Will Wade was entangled in.

Why not announce LSU’s investigation as well?

The NCAA can’t just rely on the FBI’s info but they can use it as a reference to inquire.

The NCAA has to do their own leg work and gather their own info.

And from their own mouth, they wanted to wait until after that trial ended. So it has been a long & slow process

And yet, THEY'RE the ones that CLEARED Smart to play in the NCAA Tourney. So if their investigation is about Smart, then they're pissing in the wind.

Vitale wants us to hire Rick Pitino to clean up our program.

I just found out yesterday that Rick Pitino used to own a house on Indian Creek Island in Miami Beach. Only 41 homes on a 300 acre island - 90% of which is the country club- in the middle of Biscayne Bay. Most of the rich South Florida athletes can't even afford to live there. Residents include Julio Iglesia, Norman Braman, Carl Icahn, Don Shula, golfer Ray Floyd, Peter Breton, Calvin Klein co-founder Barry Schwartz, a few other bilionaires, and Saudi sheiks......and college basketball coach Rick fricking Pitino who never had a connection to South Florida.

Vitale is tweeting about basketball issues only, not football.

Dear Dickie V, We already got rid of our incompetent AD and school president that should have overseen any irregularities in LSU recruiting. The new administration has this all cleaned up and will carry over Will Wade to make sure it continues. Thanks for calling our attention to the missteps of the previous administration before any ncaa violations were committed.

I’m trying to be nice but no, that’s not how it works

Sept 19’ reported Kansas was issued a notice of inquiry.

So yes, the information was based on the trial, but an independent investigation was implemented by the NCAA.

If he's referring to Duke and Coach K I'd say he's right on the money. Major lawsuit filed against Zion is accusing his mother of straight up soliciting money or whatever from Duke for Zion's services.

Shite about to get real.

Probably so. To what degree, I don't know.

I've never been one to think Wade and LSU would skate away scot-free. However, because unlike Kansas, Louisville, and Arizona who had evidence implicating them introduced at trial and/or former coaches pleading guilty, LSU just had the wiretap. Damning as it sounds, is it enough to bury the program without anything more?
