And if we had caused an accident that resulted in the loss of life, then we should be held responsible.
Lacy's attorney makes it sound like several witnesses and LEO all of sudden decided to blame it Kyren - just pulled his name out of a hat because he's black.
There's a reason Lacy was sought by police. Witness statements were consistent and, IIRC, a partial plate number was given to LE. My guess is he had a vanity plate to make it even easier to figure it was Lacy they were looking for.

I’m not familiar with what happens to a case if the defendant passes, but I’m assuming it ends there. Will we ever know what actually happened that day?

Fair enough
What about the gun?
Was that his? You took his car away, but hey, you can keep your gun.
Or did he take that too?
I mean how far is anyone expected to suspend reality for him?
Sad, terrible, but predictable outcome it would seem.

I heard this info third hand. A friend of mine who talked to a close friend or family member about this said the family had Kyren on watch because they knew he was not himself. Evidently bad enough to put a close presence on him. Allegedly they took his car keys and the car he took and wrecked was not his.
I think your friend is FOS. This happened 5 hours from where his parents live. How'd he get there

Lacy's 2023 Dodge Charger was an ugly neon green.
Easier to identify just by color.

He wrecked his sister's car.

You only have a couple to choose from. Wasn't 1958.

According to reports, his sister and a brother were present in Houston with him. Maybe one of them drove him.

Is that one of those Black Hebrew ministry groups?
Sorry for off topic.

This group believes that they are Hebrew and the plan is to return to Israel.
The UFA has a weekly Facebook broadcast and occasionally the ex-LSU/NFL guy fills in. He almost always posts a link to the preaching on his own page.
UFA guy wears a gold "bra" for lack of a better word as a costume for his preach sessions.
I know his family is upset about all of this but he is a grown man removed a while from his NFL career. Can't commit him to the looney bin.
His 5 kids range from over college age, college (not LSU), senior in HS down to age 6.

It isn't easy being 23 and 100,000,000 know you may or may not have been the cause of an ex-military member dying from a road collision. He probably read all the social media comments saying he's a POS, etc. Then add in that the NFL combine took away his invite. Just a in December, he was standing to make a $40 million signing bonus. That's all gone now. Add in that everyone knows what happened, and you're 23. That'd break anyone.

His mom lives in Houston & that's where he was. More second hand info I heard is that he intended to commit suicide there at his mom's place. She tried to intervene but Kyren wasn't trying to be talked out of it. That's where the confrontation occurred & the taking of the car. The police had been originally called pertaining to Kyren being suicidal & irrational.

High draft pick as in before the 4th round
?
Got to be on the 2007 team as there were no high draft picks on the 2003 team and 2019 is obviously too young of a player. Choices are Bowe, Laron, Jamarcus, Craig Davis. Not sure which one owns their own business though
He was probably in the 2004 draft though now that i think about it so maybe
Clayton,Henderson, Peterman
Am i getting close ?

Yes. I just read the article and that’s wild man. This is why mental health is so important.

Terrible waste of a young man's life. Too much pressure by social media and self imposed. I hope his family can heal.

Peterman wouldn't be a Black Hebrew.
