Oh man, good example, like it's hard to care about your friends or something.

He killed a guy and drove away so he could try to get away with it. Think about that.

When it was actually difficult to do the right thing, what did he choose to do? And you bring up a football example between him and one of his best friends.

This is just my guess, but I don’t think it was the guilt from the accident that drove this, it sounds like he was suffering from a serious manic episode, whether he was diagnosed as bipolar or not.

From what I'm hearing it was a combination of several factors going back a few years but there were so many things over the past year or so that really began to weigh heavily on him.

Incident happened at a family members house dude. Pretty much the whole thing happened amongst family as I understand. I would imagine they talked to each other

All confusing. Without the need for potential of witnesses having to testify (grand jury) I'm guessing we will see witness statements and we will have a better idea of what happened.

GJ might not review the case since the potential defendant in the court case is dead.

Oh its over on the criminal side. The reason we didnt have access to statements was the potential need for live testimony. at the GJ.

Agree totally, however the truth may not show Kyren / family / LSU / others in a good light.

Many answers would identify the truth many so desire.

How many people coddled Kyren?
Who, let him side when he had small missteps or made bad decisions?
Did failure to hold him accountable because of his ‘status’ lead to more serious actions and bad decisions.
Did he have previous run ins with law enforcement where the situation was “taken care of” and there were no consequences?
Has he had any serious driving infractions, speeding, reckless driving, etc where he was written citations but he was never held responsible, because they were ‘taken care of’.

I have no information or any idea if any of this applies. That is the pattern found in other situations of similar circumstances.

Those are just questions that many people need to reflect on to see if they failed Kyren and that led to his poor decision making.
In that, the truth would be revealed.
But the truth may not portray Kyren and others in a not so favorable light and I don’t see that happening.

He could have been a stand up responsible person. The truth lies between the two distinctively different scenarios.

I am female and had a head on collision trying to pass a car on Highland Road between Siegen and I-10@Highland in 1984.

Trying to get home to party at my parents house before they got home from a trip to Europe.

I was 23. I consider myself a kid at that age. I was a college kid. Lacy just finished college 4 months ago. He was still a kid in my eyes.

Never will believe he is/was a thug. Sometimes life is overwhelming and it takes a village to make things better.

But did any of these players win a Super Bowl not with their original team?

How many of these players were high draft picks?

Oh and you can take Marquis out of the list of candidates.

Here's an interview with Lacy's attorney. It's very interesting.

Thank you for posting this.

I used to work in the legal field.

Met a lot of lawyers. I don't think this one is a scumbag.

I can't wait for the truth to come out. The media and all the assholes on social media caused the death of this 24 y.o.

He was convicted and labeled a murderer by a good portion of just the people on here.

There is no humanity anymore. I am sick for the Lacy family.

Does anyone know who the female co-defendant is in this civil suit? Why was she not arrested/charged with anything

Where are the J.D.s of the Rant?

Have no idea. I haven't seen the suit posted anywhere. Could be the driver of the vehicle that went into the Halls' lane. I would suspect that driver would be included in the suit. Typically, lawyers name every possible person or entity.

Not exactly but read all the posts here and everywhere crucifying this kid for months before he had his day in court. Yeah I said kid.

He was railroaded. His lawyer stated that Lacy was driving BEHIND the man who died and another car swerved into that car. Lacy kept going. We pass accidents all the time. Isn't just possible that the "hit and run" didn't happen exactly as reported?

When something happens we should not jump to judgment and wait for things to play out.

I will wait for the attorney to reveal what he knows and reserve judgment until then.

Media kept posting his mugshot. Why not just a normal picture of him?

Because he was labeled an "AA thug" or "thug" by people on here and elsewhere, he didn't stand a chance.

The entire situation is tragic. It doesn't matter if the man killed in Chackbay was a marine or not. A person died. Media made this a circus.

I am sure he felt cornered with no way out. Why wasn't his co-defendant in the civil case charged?

Nah. We'll just go after the black kid and ruin his life.
