Okay Vince Lombardi, it's not 1963, it's 2023, and Brian Kelly needs his best Cornerbacks out there before the Ls start accumulating.

The counter takes on here are all based purely on the speculation that Harris is so good he is worth the headache. That's equally pollyannish on their part.
What are you talking about?? Harris was midseason All-American last year. PFF had him as highest ranking freshman cornerback in the SEC and was the third highest in all of college football.
The two statement are hardly "equal". Harris is has everything you want in a corner, so no doubt he is as good as advertised.
If Houses schemes are too complex which is the reasoning for putting the lesser talented, less physically gifted guys on the field, that's a real problem.

Mr. Cannon did those things AFTER he played, not before.

it didn't look like any other lsu db could figure out zone coverage. so, why not put in the guy who can play man to man .

If he knows the playbook and is following team rules, sure.
From Kelly's inference, he doesn't and he's not.

Wasn't he a freshman all American?
Mid season before suspension.
The Athletic and Pro Football Focus released their college football midseason freshmen All-American team, and defensive back Denver Harris represents the Aggies.
In the five games he’s played in so far, Harris has 14 total tackles and 3 pass breakups. According to PFF, the corner has allowed just four catches for 28 yards on 211 snaps. PFF has Harris as the highest-ranking freshman cornerback in the SEC and the third-highest in all of college football. In the Alabama game, Harris was targeted just once and allowed zero receptions.

Every guy in the defensive backfield that Jordy interviewed said he is hands down one of the best two on the field. But I agree with the rest. Dude is a huge talent that needs to figure it out
Well who was the other one?
I didn't see any good DBs week one, outside of Greg Brooks.

Brian Kelly’s job at LSU is not just to win games, it’s to develop men
You're the guy who laments the good 'ol days and then blows up when your (semi-professional) team shits the bed on national tv (which is paying well over a billion dollars for broadcast rights), aren't you?

Yup, if he's suspended thats fine, but he isnt a freshman with no experience.
Play the dude if he eligible.

I’m sorry, I stand corrected.
Admitting your mistakes is the first step. No need to apologize. It happens. We all knew that your post was a joke the second that you submitted it.

I’m guessing he probably asked “who are going to be our two best corners?” And they probably responded with Denver and a mix of Chesnut and Alexander, but can’t confirm the second name

Is this all over the old shite?

I think that if whatever happened between him and CBK was bad enough that he would leave, it was probably warranted.

Meaningful snaps isn’t this weekend genius

No Brian Kelly’s job is to win, not make men. That’s just a happy byproduct but he’s not being paid that huge contract to make good men and go 7-6. Anything less than a 10 win season should be a massive disappointment. This team should be a perennial playoff contender with the best recruiting ground in the country between LA and the Houston area.

BK holding him to a ND standard. Doesn't work here. Fighting SB ok at LSU. It always has been - even in the stands.

Wow.
It’s amazing how some will give certain people passes bc of their status.
