Deion Smith and Koy Moore remain in the portal. Chances one or both come back to LSU?

I was reading where ESPN had them both as top option at WR in the Portal. From reading TD, it seems possible that Smith might return to the team. Not sure about Koy Moore. Rumor was he might be headed to Nebraska. I believe Smith has the ability to see a lot of snaps next year if he returns.

Anyone have any recent news on these two? Also, if they are in the portal, are they still enrolled at LSU and under scholarship?

It’s my understanding that scholarships are like a year contract to the player and can’t be removed until after the spring semester. Is this accurate? How is LSU able to replace a portal player with an incoming player if the player hasn’t officially left the program?

It seems like the WR room is getting somewhat thin and not like the receiver rooms of the past at LSU. I know we got Lacy in the portal but getting Smith back would be big for the position group.

Billy Embody said we're working on Deion Smith, but Koy moore isn't coming back.

Moore seems gone. Burried in that depth chart. It’s surprising he can’t find another school. He’s definitely good enough for a sunbelt school.

Koy Moore should've been kicked off the team and arrested for pulling a Jussie Smollett.

Except he was actually stopped by cops and had a gun pulled on him and was searched.

Smith would catch a lot of passes next season if he returns. I heard he had some class work he needed to work on. I hope he sticks around. He's an exciting player.

They can come back if they buy in and want to come back. I don’t see any reason to appease anyone especially with the recruiting and transfer portal success

Is that all he accused them of doing, SammyTiger? Seems like you are either willfully ignorant, or just run of the mill, everyday ignorant.

No you’re right, but is there a difference between staging a racial incident and exaggerating one?

I won’t derail this thread any further.

Yeah he grossly exaggerated the search, but those cops also pulled a gun on him and his friend while they were not committing any crimes.

If he was trying to shop in a target without a mask he’s be speaking at a convention. But because he’s black cops are allowed to jsut assume he’s a danger.

Except he lied saying he was harassed and violated and went public to make it appear like a racially motivated incident. He conveniently left out the part about how they were found hiding behind vehicles and acted like they were just stopped while leaving to get food. He was patted down for weapons because of their actions and a phone was removed from his waistband. Let’s not act like he told the whole story. He tried to take advantage of the spotlight and ruin officers careers.

You do realize that they don’t have to be committing any crime if their behavior is suspicious enough to present a danger to them?

So what’s your evidence that police don’t investigate white people hiding behind vehicles who also don’t initially follow their commands? Is a white person in an ambush position less dangerous than a black person?

No chance Koy Moore comes back and we wouldn’t want him anyway.

Why do you continue to spread this lie? They were trespassing. That is crime no matter how insignificant you think it is.

And if you present a danger to someone whether perceived or real then you can feel free to have a firearm aimed at you so as to not take any chances that your suspicious actions will lead to something far worse. Actions have consequences whether they be criminal or not.

Deion Smith is still on scholarship, on campus, enrolled and will be going through the offseason training with his teammates.

Deion can’t go anywhere without getting his grades up first. He either sticks it out at LSU or goes to a Juco.
