Offense better not struggle against Miami. Since LSU’s D is so good...

No. It’s real. I wish it wasn’t. We are about to embark on a really long year for Tiger football I’m afraid of what I’m hearing is true.

Maybe I’m setting myself up for disappointment but I refuse to believe the offense is that bad. I mean we were a serviceable offense last year and it’s not like we lost all 11 starters or something. Hell, we beat a top-10 team last year with a starting OL of Charles, Brumfield, Clapp, Ingram, and Magee. We’ll start 3 or 4 of those in 2018. Dillon, Sullivan, Moreau, and Carter also played a lot and contributed in that game and we have them back.

It won’t be a surprise to the majority here.

Even though it was predicted by a ton of people, It’ll still be extremely frustrating.

Man, I hope you are right and I’m wrong. I really mean that but I’m hearing different. This may be the worst offense LSU has fielded in 20 years or more.

Please explain what's so horrible about this offense?

If it is, I think Orgeron should be let go at the end of the season. I don't see any reason he should be retained after that chaos on offense last year and then if the offense is as bad as you say it could be.

What is Orgeron’s buyout at season’s end...somewhere around 8.5? That is probably too high to pull the trigger.

Line is very bad. Receivers are bad...no leadership in the group pushing them to get better. No running backs and two inexperienced QBs. I’m not gonna comment on coaches because I’ve not heard negatives there. However, based on my personal thoughts, no Power 5 team would have hired Ensminger as an OC. That tells me a lot.

He should be let go if we’re embarrassed by Miami. Because you know what coming at Auburn if that happens.
frick they let Miles, a championship winning coach go after 4 games because he didn’t produce what he promised. Orgeron is a flea on Miles’ nuts at this point.

While I agree that Coach O isn't Miles, I wouldn't overreact to one game against an OOC opponent. Now, if O struggles in the next 6 games or so, like to a 2-5 record or 3-5 headed into Bama, then yeah may be time to part ways.

True, but it’s not like we’re going into the Miami game high on Orgeron as it is.

If we’re embarrassed, I don’t think it would be overreaction. But okay, so we’re stomped by Auburn, is it time then?
How long do we give this clown to prove what we already knew about him?
At this point we’re hoping he’s not the failure he’s always been.
That’s not what we deserve at LSU.

I’m giving him the first game. Which I shouldn’t because he was an embarrassment last year. But I’ll be fair and let him prove that we can compete against Miami, and look improved, win or lose. Is that fair?

9-4 isn’t an embarrassment.

I've already said that I may be trying too hard to be overly fair with him. I believe any other coach would get 3 years, but I also understand the point of view that his history makes him not like every other coach. Personally, I would rather not put a finite expectation on when he should get fired, but would rather wait to see exactly what happens. I realize I'm dancing around your question, but I don't really have a definite answer at the moment.

He was an absolute embarrassment in 2 of the 13 games, and subpar in the Bowl game. He did well against Aub, OM, Ark, A&M, Tenn, Fla, and ok at Bama. I’m going into the Miami game with an open mind. But we should be roughly even with them and Auburn with the roster we have.

Sounds like every team O ever fielded at Ole Miss. Color me surprised.
