If tweet fails to load, click here. Not sure if anyone posted this but he did post on his story he would return this year. Torn ACL in March so about between then and the start of the season is 5 months of recovery eaten up. Stefon Diggs and Adrian Peterson are examples of aggressive rehab with return in 8-9 months. So that would put him on track to November, December.

No reason to play this year

Yes, the rehab/recovery processes of ACL injuries has improved greatly but you can tell this guy has put in a ton of work to already be moving like that.

100%, definitely channeling his frustration from the two injuries he has had. He looks hungry…can’t wait til he makes his way back onto the field.

People forget how highly rated he was and what a big get he was.
Flipped him from a&m.

When did he tear his acl, spring ball?
Damn. Thought he was only recovering from a torn labrum.

Hoping for a full and healthy recovery for this young man.

I hope that he finds success when he comes back

still takes 9 months for the graft to mature. the research on it is pretty clear, return to full participation in sport before 9 months post-op is irresponsible.

Surely has. But, the acl is not that involved in straight line running with no hard stops. Thats why he jogged out the slow down.
Getting the full motion back w no limp is job 1. The ligament is not the issue

He was going to be major contributor this year

He will be ready for spring. No reason for him to play this season. Even if he was back for post season (if we’re in the playoffs) he won’t be in game shape.
I love his efforts especially since he’s gotten two unlucky injuries leaving him to miss multiple seasons.

So is this official now?

If he came back and only played 3-4 games he can still redshirt correct?
Posted on 7/23/26 at 8:19 am to Tank77
He shouldn’t do it, imo. I would love to have him back healthy though.

November sounds about right for playing a few snaps.
