It’s such a waste of time and resources recruiting out of state high school players.

Rarely do they make an impact

Thats overly simplistic.

Say goodbye to our last 3 National Championship QBs, Patrick Peterson, Jamal Adams, Joseph Addai, Danielle Hunter, Sam Montgomery, Kwon Alexander, and several others.

Not to mention our last 2 Heisman trophy winners although were transfers were out of state.

Does LSU always need Louisiana players? Yes but you can't just ignore out of state players. Rarely will you be able to get every position of need if you concentrate on just Louisiana. C'mon man.

Another bad take by Ipod. Might want to check where all of our starters are coming from this year. Not many "Louisiana" kids even on this roster right now.

It doesn’t matter how long you been here. If you aren’t good enough, you’re gonna get past up now under Kiffin. How long has Shanklin been here? 2 years? And still haven’t heard hardly anything out of him. It’s a good chance he’s just not good enough and he’s getting buried on the depth chart so he said screw it im gone.

I have to imagine this is discipline or grades issue.

Yep.

Players from Texas, Florida, Georgia especially, and some from Alabama and Mississippi have been very good for LSU. I think it is more that guys from northern states don't seem to have a high "hit" rate for LSU.

I'm not saying LSU should not ever consider guys from northern states. It's just that historically, Louisiana, Texas, Florida and to a slightly lesser extent, Georgia, have fueled LSU's best teams.

He said out of state HIGH SCHOOL players, not out of state COLLEGE PLAYERS.
