Great video analyzing what Coach Kelly looks to bring out of Daniels going forward. Put simply, yes Daniels is running too much and missing open receivers. However, Daniels is also making dynamic runs for big gains when the receivers are covered. We have a coach, y'all.

so he's the best QB on the team and he has room for lots of improvement with reads and throwing the ball to open receivers.

He isn't Joe burrow and he never will be. But he's the best option on this years team. People need to get off of his nuts.

All I know is the dude was getting hit hard and kept putting it on the line.

The entire team showed a different mindset IMO this past weekend than what we have seen the past couple years.

Between the conditioning and lack of "quit," I think we are going to good places.

It was also nice to see BK actually coaching him in the game on mechanics corrections etc.

Seems all we have had in the past ~18 years is grass eating, clapping oddly, or shouting randomly from our head coach.

IDk if doesn't trust his WRs or himself but I would expect him to throw more as the season goes on. He saw what happens when you trust Malik.

Man those clips of the 3 WRs open is brutal. He looked dead at each one of them open and still ran.

I have this really weird feeling. We have a coach who is actually . . .

It's almost hard to say . . .

Coaching.

Kelly does come across like a smart coach.

It’s a breath of fresh air.

This and his direct comments on special teams were on point.

He understands you don’t want to handcuff a guy like Daniels because he gets consistent yards, but if he doesn’t list it rip we won’t get those huge chunk plays.

IMO, what Daniels and Denbrock are doing together is not exploiting the most elite aspect of the team (WR talent and depth), nor is it sustainable against top SEC competition

On most of these scrambles, we are seeing some form of coverage sacks being turned into positive scrambling plays due to JD's elite speed, or we are seeing him flat out missing wide open players (or being too scared to pull the trigger)

It's great that he can salvage otherwise negative plays or turn them into very positive ones. It's also great that he's a good "game manager" and will protect the football. But this is not sustainable as a system once we hit the meat of SEC schedule.

Well what's even more unsustainable is having Nuss in to break the season record for pick 6's either. We're getting better and at least the coach realizes there is a problem along with Jayden's strengths. I know some people can't believe it, but the JD is the best quarterback on this team. Right now there is a huge gap between 1st and 2nd.

We'll see how Nuss looks this week. Hopefully he's learned from his YOLO attitude of protecting the ball and has taken steps forward.

FWIW, I think BOTH have everything they need to be a great QB1. They just have mental things to clear up first. I think the coaching staff is addressing both their needs.

That's the best explanation with demonstration of what's been going on that I've seen. Everyone yells for a mobile quarterback when we have a statue getting sacked over and over. Yet when we get one, everyone yells for him to stay in the pocket longer. There has to be a happy medium. I just want wins, and I'll take them anyway they come from Clutch Daniels.

Trying to put as good a spin as possible on a serious offensive weakness. We have seen this movie before.

There was zero spin there. He said Daniels needs to be more patient and see the field better and the coaching staff needs to evaluate each run to determine if it was a good or bad decision and coach him up to lessen the bad decisions. It was a clear and thorough answer, though it seems some prefer black and white answers like "Daniels is bad".

JD needs to trust the coaches, schemes and WRs.

We need to trust CBK. He knows what he's doing.

Terrible take. He’s acknowledging the weakness, explains how they are handling it, and giving praise where it’s earned. Sounds like solid coaching to me.

Honestly I really dont think i've even seen anyone suggesting that he get benched. I think everyone recognizes that he's our best option. I think people are just a bit excited because if he ever puts it together in terms of processing speed and making the throws... he's gonna be absolutely dynamite. Because the rushing ability is electric.
