It was a TD either way. JD5 coulda just walked it in if he’d wanted to. It was WIDE open

The only way to defend it is for 9 and 7 to recognize, communicate and switch. That is asking a lot for a college defense.

Just park a defender at the pylon

And if Bama played the pass, Daniels could have run it

Makes me wonder if MS has been able to attend practice and saw that play as the number 1 go to for 2 pt conversion.

We ran that same play early in the game for a nice gain, so that may have been a factor also on what play was called. One thing for sure, Taylor will be getting even more attention here on out.

Here’s the best point of all: do you really want to tie the game at 31 and give the gun right back to Saban?

I thought it was funny that Marcus Spears knew it was going to Mason as soon as he saw the set.

They were running that play all night long.

I'm just glad to see OC Denbrock finally made a nice play call after so many on TD had been calling for him to be fired. Yeah, I said that w/ tongue in cheek.

Side bar: absolutely one of the worst trades on both sides getting rid of Jimmy Graham. They should have paid him whatever the frick he wanted him and Brees were unstoppable...But I digress.

You know it’s a maybe 7 yard pass right with Taylor turning around looking for the ball at the 2 yd line. It’s not really a pass play that requires a lot of time and you really don’t want the ball getting on the receiver too soon.

It was a very catchable pass and I really don’t know what more LSU fans could want from their starting quarterback with the play He has demonstrated in the last three games.

No they were running an RPO where Taylor works into the flat from the backside of the formation and JD5 reads the end man then the force player. He either gives to the RB, throws to the TE,, or keeps it and runs himself. Completely different play.

The second best thing about that play, LSU scoring to win being #1, is that Saban post game saying he wasn't expecting LSU to go for 2 points. Their sidelines & players on the field were obviously confused. How many times has that happened in the past, a LSU coach one step ahead of Saban?

Amazed to learn Saban and staff don’t know football.

It’s called a pick play and the receivers who set their screens played it perfectly (appearing to run a route while simply getting in the way)..great execution on a common and hard to defend play
