I’m not gonna lie I was not a huge Canada fan once I saw his offense. I don’t care how many years they gave him to get his guys in there, that gimmicky offense doesn’t work in the SEC.

Agree...all I saw was 3 and 4 player shifts from one side of the offensive line to the other... I wasn’t impressed with him in the least....

I was a fan of the hire. That being said, getting our arse beat like a drum at Moo State was eye opening. As for Alabama, Canada was just a figuregmhead at that point if the the reports of a rift between he and o are to be believed. I liked the hire but it was pretty meh in terms of production.
As for Emsminger, I didn't want him as the OC, but given the circumstances (a new QB that did't even have spring camp, very young WR's, and obvios o-line issuea) he has performed better than I thought he would.
Next year should be a pretty darned good year. I would hope for 11 wins or more. Anything less would be a disappointment provided there are no major heath concerns.

Didn't Canada outgain Bama as well.
I know many who post on here who get paid by LSU Athletics are overjoyed with Slinger. I'm not sure they realize that Slinger had 8 qtrs and failed to score vs Bama. Canada scored 10 and did quite well and attacked Bama.

In fact the one guy he has worked with a ton and was one of his best coaching friends - Doeren at NC State - fires him.
He just doesn’t get along with anyone.
I’m neither here nor there on Coach O but he never should have hired Canada.
