I have said before, Idgaf if it was targeting or not, when you drive an opposing QB into the ground like that, you deserve to be ejected.
I would say the majority of targeting ejections are the result of circumstance with zero malicious intent. Just mistakes or errors due to a moving target.
Driving a QB into the ground the way that dirty MFer did wasn't a mistake, it was done on purpose to inflict the most damage that he could.
If we are all for player's safety, that hit needs to be punished just as strongly as targeting, if not stronger.

Why does it matter if it was targeting or not.

Yes. Not sure what your point is.

And the SEC will do nothing after the fact. Dallas Turner is going to see some really bad Karma from the sports gods at some point and I look forward to seeing it.

Drove him into the ground with the full weight of his body. Check.

Matters a lot in the long game. When a player exhibits that kind of play and gets off scott free and the program does not even address it then it makes that program look above the law and hence privileged. That is a big deal in recruiting advantage and not to mention a better feeling that justice is served.

Did anyone see a mark off of 15 yards for personal foul? Ball stayed on the 35.

Bama fans will argue with you on social media that it was clean hit...and that injuries are part of the game...
The referee said it wasn’t a clean hit.

It's about player saftey in the future.
Exactly and setting precedence on the ruling.

::sigh::
Again, it matters because I want JD (and everyone else) to be able to continue playing the game I love to watch. The rule was put in place for player safety, and failing to enforce it only rewards the bad behavior it was designed to prevent.
Almost nobody is arguing that calling or not calling targeting affected the outcome of the game. No, it's that our QB was a leading contender for the Heisman and the main reason we were even competitive against Bama...
...and a (proven) dirty player took him out, without personal and/or team repercussion beyond a 15 yard penalty.
Failing to toss Turner from the game simply lowers any inhibition he might have in future games where he has the chance to annihilate a QB instead of simply playing hard and winning on talent instead of thuggishness.
If that's hard to understand, I don't know what else to tell you.

If LSU was in contention for the NC or playoffs, we get that call. Daniel’s is expendable now that LSU isn’t playing for anything of SEC value anymore.

Until we lost that game, both possibilities were in play. Logshots? Maybe, but I'll simply point you back to 2007 for an example of what mayhem at the end of the season can do to the rankings.
So, I respectfully disagree with your assertion.

Ball stayed on the 35.

This wasn’t a miss. The game was stopped for minutes. It wasn’t overlooked. They reviewed and decided not to apply the rule.

I was informed by a Bama fan (WHO ALSO PLAYED HIGH SCHOOL BALL) on the SECRant, that it was a clean hit cos Dallas hugged Jayden with both arms during the tackle and gently guided him to the ground.

Forcible contact is in question. It is different than the force typically needed to tackle. And it is subjective. I read the rule last night and was wondering how to apply the “different than normal force”.

That's a neat way to excuse the SEC's corruption.
In 2018, LSU was still in contention, yet Devon White got suspended for the Bama game for pushing a QB. Never hit the guy's helmet at all. The same day, a Bama LB concussed and broke the Tenn QB's collar bone with another textbook targeting, yet he wasn't flagged at all.
The depth of corruption in the SEC is a sight to behold. Anyone that defends this needs to have their IQ checked.
