And wrong fit at BAMA, LOL. BK had coached in Midwest and ND where he played cross sectional teams from all conferences, broad coaching experience.

A good coach is a good fit anywhere. Thats a solid hire imo.

This.

He's a good coach. Saban wasnt just a good coach, or a great coach, he was the best ever.

There is definitely going to be a let down. But DeBoer is as good any they could've hired.

He’s a good hire. But the Alabama frame of reference is Nick Saban lol.

I think he walks into TS next year and gets his mind blown.

No matter who this next hire was going to be it was going to be the wrong coach. This guy is a definite filler. I’m not saying he’s a bad coach, but what the hell do we really know? He’s only really been a head coach for three seasons, and had a heisman caliber quarterback the last two. . I’d be terrified as frick if I was a Bama fan due to that alone. And don’t go comparing him to Brian Kelly. He has more wins in college football than any other coach right now. He had so much more experience than this guy as a head coach when he got here.

If one was to compare performances at UW between Sark and DeBoer, there's not much of a comparison.

Let’s see what he does with no Penix and insert Milroe. He went 3-3 Covid year and 9-3 at Fresno St

Agree, but more than that I want to see how he does when week after week he is facing Kelly, Sark, Kiffin, Heupel, Drink, Freeze, Stoops.

How the hell you know?

Not saying you're wrong.

I'm just trying to figure out who made you the expert on hiring coaches.

DeBoer might be great, might be good, he might actually be a disaster. He's had lots of cover to this point, now he got paid and its time to put up or get buried.

Yea I’d want a coach coming off 1 loss the last two regular seasons and a CFB Playoff win who finished 36th in recruiting. Add in never ever recruiting in the south. Solid for LSU

Was Saban the “right” fit at LSU or Bama?

There was never a better job “fit” than EdO at LSU. What’s he doing these days again?

So we’re comparing Saban who had NFL experience and NCAA success over multiple years to Deboer who’s got 3 total seasons of power 5 PAC 12 experience?

Still living off the legend of the greatest college team in history. Don’t hate the man.

Milroe may be a better qb than Penix. Damn sure has some great talent at Ala. Ala will likely be very competitive next year. Depends on the exodus but the cupboard looks good to me.

It would be wild if Penix was his Brett Farve and he turns out to be Bama's Curly Hallman. I don't think so but time will tell.
