They mentioned it during their podcast, but Clemson would be pissed they get a red hot 2-seed SEC team for a 2nd year in a row.

Would have loved to see them in RAL regional. T. White going back to NCSU to put a charge in the ball all weekend. My NCSU alum neighbor is still not over that transfer....

So what they are saying is, “Clemson knows they can’t compete with SEC teams, even the teams that finish middle tier in the conference.”

They usually use LSU as the SEC team to send out West. So I expect LSU to Arizona and paired with the Arkansas or A&M regional.

People make a lot of generalizations based upon something that happened 3 times. That had much more to do with the distribution of host sites and strength of SEC teams not hosting than some specific goal to ship LSU out West. Miss St likely is viewed as the more worthy 2-seed by the committee and there is no obvious geographic fit for them either. If they are going to ship an SEC team West to face a “weak” host, it’s more likely to be them this year.
