even if we go 0-2 in Omaha I consider this a successful season. We are fine as a program 2 trips to Omaha in the last 3 years, 5 straight seasons as a top 8 seed. IF we continue this success we will eventually find some success here.

Love to watch almost every team we play work the pitch count while our batters are just swinging away at anything.

I wouldn't worry about coach PM. He'll get a nice and deserved raise this year. But he needs to get past this hump. And he needs to get more power.

The same SEC that makes up half of the CWS field? "Fans" like you are dumb.

For every Vandy there was a Bama or MSU.

We could pitch everyone we wanted for an inning at this point without really losing anything in the pen. Dev all wasn't in the top 6 in the pen and this is only a 5 run game.

They are most definitely NOT interchangeable. You want that W. You want it for confidence, to get the monkey off your back. It's the reason MLB throws their aces in the #1 slot. You always do what gives you the best chance to get the win.

It's double elimination. Poche had been playing lights out. Actually better than Lange over the last two starts. Tons of lefties in the lineup. It was not a bad decision to start him. Now, if we lose, we have Lange in an elimination game which is good.

Look, I'm not faulting Poche. I'm flabbergasted by people saying winning game 2 is more important than game 1. If Lange has been your guy all year, you pitch Lange.

You do realize we have to win an extra game to get to the championship series if you lose game 1 as opposed to game 2, right? How are you saying they're interchangeable.

no you don't.

If you lose game 1 you have to be 4-1 to move on to the championship series

if you lose game 2 you have to be 4-1 to move on to the championship series.

the second loser brackets game both teams are 1-1.

seriously? that should've been another easy out

not an E1... but according to the eye test it's on Devall that the runner is on 2B instead of getting his glove to play the field
