CPM is now trying to save arms as much as he can to alleviate the damage of a potential "extra" game that would be required to come out of the loser's bracket
keep everyone (aside from Poche of course) on small pitch counts so they won't be burned

Nothing. You put your best out there to win game one. No matter what. CPM instead does something no other team did or will do. Throw your number 2 guy when avoiding the losers bracket is the most important thing. This is on him.

You do realize we have to win an extra game to get to the championship series if you lose game 1 as opposed to game 2, right? How are you saying they're interchangeable.
