Still not sure who emerges as our top back... that backfield is loaded with Emery, TDP, and Curry. What do ya'll think?

O-line will be crucial..

Curry proves that the peach bowl wasn’t merely a flash in the pan

What did he do in the Peach Bowl that was so extraordinary?

Remember Burrow threw 7 TDs in the first half? OU wasn't worried about Curry, and he bowling ball'd his way to some nice runs. Big deal.

Burrow recommending he get the start has been overblown. Burrow was worried about being blocked for, because he knew we were going to pass all over them.

If the 2020 offense has more of a need for a game-breaking RB, I don't think Curry will be the starter, based on what we've seen so far.

The peach bowl should have no bearing on who starts

Let the best man win in the fall. All 3 will play regardless

You guys need to pump the brakes on Curry.
Yes, he has a 5 YPC avg, but that is almost entirely during beat down time. His career longest run is 20. CEH avg'd 6.6 in prime time.
David Price and Emery are at 4.6 and 4.8.
Curry is still a north- south banger, with no elusiveness. He doesn't have break away speed. He is still primarily a short yardage back.

All 3 guys coming back are quality RBs that could prove to be the guy. You can't count out TDP as the guy that initially gets most carries with what he showed us in limited playing time.

WOW JUST WOW! This kid is wicked good. Sees holes immediately, has breakaway speed, hard to tackle and can catch the football. Love is one step cuts.

I foresee a 3 headed rushing attack with Curry leading the way. I'm stoked that this dude didn't transfer. He's a solid SEC back.

Yep. It will take a little time to probably add a bit more muscle and learn the nuances of being a college level RB, but if he has a seam or gets the ball in space, it's game over.

He also showed some pretty sick blocking ability for a HS RB.

I thought Curry would transfer out after 2019, but I also thought CEH would be at LSU for his senior season.

I still think Emery and Davis-Price will outpace him in 2020, but all 3 should get touches.

I think we will look like the San Fran backfield, lots of different ways we can beat you...and it'll likely be a crapshoot on who it is each game.

I see Curry as a closer who could improve his 40 this offseason and earn a combine invite when all said and done.

quote:

Emery and his new eyes are going to be hard to beat out
That issue was affecting him on the field which led to off field impacts

His problems was his ball security and pass protection, not his vision mainly.

Curry is just a violent dude. He’s different then Emery and even TDP in the fact that he just doesn’t stop moving and pumping his feet. Curry is gonna be a problem for many defensive coordinators next year
