CEH seemed to have one hell of a year with that nonsense. if Curry does, as well, we are sitting pretty!

Emery.. TDP ..Curry in that order for me....I’m going purely on overall talent. If Emery gets the blocking and other RB nuances down...he’s going to be one of the best we’ve seen here.
Why does everyone assume Emery passes TDP?

Curry reminds me a little of Charles Alexander.
TDP reminds me of Charles Scott, and Emery reminds me of a shiftier Keiland Williams.

Ok chief- I’ll tell him he was wrong about what was in his head and he wasn’t having trouble seeing guys move up to the line on pressure packages
I’m sure he’ll agree with you since you’re a TD superhero

My sarcasm meter went off the scale with that remark.

starting roll over TDP?

Primarily because he was the choice when the opportunity came up last year. Looked explosive even without home run speed (think Spencer Ware); hits hard. Didn’t do anything to suggest he isn’t ready. Also because I think O will give first shot to the third year back.

Why do you think TDP has earned the role over Curry? ...or Emery for that matter.

We can arse grab over this all offseason, as we probably will. But it’s a great “problem” to have. And, in spring, TDP and Emery will have the opportunity to win the spot.

For now, this is what I think.

The more great backs the better. Coaches just need to identify each one's strengths. ie which is better catching balls etc.. Not to mention maybe take some load off of Brennan having to convert too many 3rd and longs.

One of, if not the strongest position groups moving forward.

He has shown the ability to be the main guy back there and always pick up positive yards. But Emery just seems to be the scariest threat to have a big play when the ball is in his hands.

because he was the backup all year and was always the breather for CH. had huge moments against better defenses than Curry faced.
90 of his 189 yards came against a shite defense in Oklahoma.

curry had carries in 7 games while TDP had carries in 14.

Big time battle there this spring. Picking up the blitz and receiving could be key

I think Curry jumped TDP at least for the meantime on the depth chart because when it came time to put a full time guy in for CEH Curry was tapped for the job. Also Burrow had something to do with that. I dont remember the interview but it was reported after or during the OU game that Burrow wanted CC in the game - maybe for pass protection or playbook knowledge. Also he was the only other back to get into the NCG. Even though Burrow is gone I think that vote of confidence has set with Ensminger.

Curry's best LSU RB comparison is Kenny Hilliard. I relate TDP and Emery to RB's like Hill and Guice.

They all had flashes of brilliance this year imo. It will be running back by committee until someone stands out.

it makes you wonder why CC didnt get a single carry between Utah State and Arky
