Not even the first five minutes of the game?

Coaches don't trust him. Thays why. Plus does not have the arm Mett has. You have to throw that pass with velocity and get it where it needs to be real quick for it to be effective.

You make it sound like Lee has Danny Wuerffel's arm attached to his right shoulder. I can't believe this thread is still going. At least wait until there is something to bitch about. People here make Broncos fans look reasonable.

As long as Lee isn't losing games for us, he's starting.

No way mett gets the job unless lee gets hurt or throws 5 pick 6s a game.

What college experience? Spring ball at georgia, a year in juco, and mop up duty vs NSU. Ohh yeahh i want that guy thrown in versus Alabama

Sounds a little like Cam Newton huh? 1 yr. at UF w/ limited PT.. One year of Juco, and then a National Championship at Auburn strait out of Juco. It can be done. He's not a freshman. He has poise. He is a better QB hands down but he hasn't mastered the playbook yet. That's why he's not #1 right now.

Its impossible to make predictions on what Les Miles may or may not do.

wow... another Lee hater in disguise. ?????

Why do you insist in injecting negativity where it is not needed and where it does not exist ?

are you talking about?

Nowhere in this this nor any thread have I "hated" on Lee. Or even Mett for that matter.

I SIAP..... Lee will be our starter and Mett will not start barring injury.
Lee has been to hell and back and has stuck around. He's playing good football and will be the starter.
Mett looks good and will be great but he'll need to get his playing time in (much like he did in the Nw st. game) and get on the field experience like the QB's before him and the QB's before them.

Feel free to dig through my posts.

Talk about throwing out negativity when it doesn't belong.....

I'd say that he makes rational decisions.

Wow, its reddiculous people aren't pleased with Lee this far. I haven't read past the first post but this thread speaks for itself. So much hatred for my boy JLee. Let the man do his thing, he knows Mett is a solid qb. If Lee threw like 5 picks and made an overwhelming amount of mistakes I'd say ok logical topic. But this is just gunning for a kid who is playing quarterback. Can we please show our starting qb some support for once... sheeesh.

nope.

the qb's are completely different, the philosophies are completely different, the teams around them are completely different.

dont know why people keep tryin to compare this.

I think Lee should be yanked now. His 9 of 10 completions vs. NSU is unacceptable. There is no reason he should ever throw an incomplete pass. Mettenberger would complete them all, never throw in int., never get sacked, lead every receiver or throw it where only the receiver could catch it.

In sum -
Lee - first mistake "Damn, here we go again."

Mettenberger - first four mistakes "That's okay, he's young, he still looks great."

I take it completion % is the only thing you care about?

Exactly. I don't care about the score. All I care about is a 100% completion percentage.

Taking time to learn the playbook is BS. We hand the ball off just about every play and so far the offense does not look that complex. Miles may not want to discourage Lee's brother from ever attending LSU in the future.

I'm with you there. We don't need no stinking playbook. It's time for all of us Mettheads to band together and let Miles know that we want Mett in there and we want it NOW!! Screw this playbook thingy. Send Mett out there and let him do what he wants.

Philosophies have nothing to do with it. I hope JL stays doing okay. I'm content with him not blowing any games right now but the true test is yet to come. Here's my thing. People are all happy cause we went 10-2 or whatever last year. Yea, it's a great record but in my honest opinion I was pissed! I don't care what people think. We had the ability to easily win the entire thing last year and everybody is satisfied by what we did. Maybe it's just the nature of me knowing what it's like to play college ball and see what is truly out there and not being utilized in the correct manner. "The Chief" has been a game changer for Les and Les has changed alot in a positive way. I hope he continues it. We will be forced to open it up more and we will see what Lee has learned from our new OC. Just saying, even in mop up duty I can tell when a qb has it and Mett has it. Let Lee see what he can do when we face our SEC opponents. I just don't want Les to ride him too long if he starts stalling on pocessions or making turnovers. I have no doubt by then Mett should have a grasp on the PB. That's all I'm worried about. I have no worries about him playing against SEC teams. He was a prize recruit out of high school and didn't he take his JUCO team to NC game. He HAS a much better cast around him than Cam did last year. I think he will atleast come in like Lee did and bail us out some games by the end of the season.
