To beat AL they will need Mett. I would play Lee and Mett like they did last year with JJ and Lee. Lee has weak ankles and will need Mett to help late in the SEC games. Lee might get hurt and Mett needs to be ready like RP in the 2007 SEC Champ. when Flynn went down the game before.

Lee couldn't uproot JJ as the starter since '08, JJ gets kicked off and now Lee is the starter, I would venture to say he hasn't earned anything. If he played as admirably as many poster on here believe then he would have separated himself from JJ and took over last year, not by default this year. The job was given to him.

This is fact.

The same way that JJ got the job from Lee in '08. If Hatch had still been healthy he would have started.

Regardless of the reason for changing starters Les Miles won't tinker with it unless there is a gun held to his head. Once his team gets into a routine of doing things and is successful then that is that. Have you been watching the last six years? So no... I don't think Mett starts this year and if JJ comes back ZM goes back to third string - where he was before Shady's.

Yes and yes, but Mett needs to play in each game to be ready in case of injury to Lee and we don't yet know the final on JJ.

Agree on that! I doubt he gets a snap tonight though barring injury or blowout.

If Mett had been started and he played the exact same game as JLee, he'd be hailed as the second coming of the Messiah.

before the end of the year ? I love that Lee is getting his shot, but Mett's arm looks good.

This "doesn't know the play book" line is getting old. Met is obviously the better passer. In certain circumstances, Miles has a history of keeping better players on the bench, IMHO. This is a good example.

I still hold my breath when Lee lets it fly - but you can't argue with 21/27.
