Did you even listen to the segment? He was pretty transparent about not knowing and was theorizing. He made a lot of sense to me as far as his interpretation of the events thus far

He literally stated he wasn't "in the know" and that everything he stated was opinion. Fact is, even though his statements are pretty obvious, sometimes these things need to be stated because there are morons out there that run with every little rumor they hear. And there has been a LOT of that the last few weeks.

He has a horrible reputation among MLB teams as an arm shredder.
He basically is the coach everyone here thinks PM was, every time an LSU pitcher had an arm injury.

He has a very bad reputation of ruining pitchers' arms.
If you thought our arm injuries were bad with Mainieri and Dunn, you don't want to see them with O'Connor.

Though downvoted, I have mentioned O'Connor several times now. You know good and well the conversation Scott and Paul had to confirm his retirement included who he thinks would be a great fit. Paul would definitely mention his protege at Virginia. And as others said, he checks the boxes. The one thing that would be unknown is his ability to recruit in our area and how well he would mash with our culture/fan base. I think he would be a great hire, but would also understand if Scott wanted someone you get like Vitello. I'm not saying he is my number one choice, but I have no doubt Scott and O'Connor at least has had a conversation.
Edit: As for the arm shredder thing, I can see why Scott would NOT like that at all. I would not like it either if it's a true honest thing about him. I would need to see some stats on injuries though

Well the Burrow family likes O'Connor. Thats good enough for me. Joe has an aunt and uncle from near us. We were on the same flights as them for the NC game.Their son (Joe's first cousin) is a frosh on the Virginia baseball team. They like O'Connor. Their son was excited to go there and play !
