Culotta Show-Baseball HC position

Highlights of his show today covering the topic of the HC position for baseball.
-Woodward found the leaker and sealed them out of the important meetings
-If it was Bianco why wait to announce. Also, Scott is a “Big game hunter” and believes Bianco’s name isn’t big enough.
-Wouldn’t be surprised if it was a Friday when it’s announced.
-Believes Woodward is going after the biggest fish in the waters i.e. Corbin, Vitello, and potentially a name we haven’t heard/thought of.
-It would be slightly different recruiting wise if Corbin came here because of scholarship money.
-Says out of all the hires (Jimbo, Peterson, Mulkey) Woodward has had across his career this could be the most personal due to it being his alma matter and the history if the HC position itself.

Seems like he has had the best relationship with Woodward, compared to the rest of the media for what it’s worth.

This is why I feel it’s not Bianco. He’s the easy/lazy hire, and Woodward is not lazy.
How, if you’re Woodward, are you going to pull Mulkey from Baylor (what most thought was impossible) then turn around and hire Bianco for baseball? It doesn’t add up.

It boggles my mind that everyone hasn't caught on that O'Connor is likely the lead candidate. He checks every box.

It’s something like that, for sure. He does have connections, and I seriously doubt Woodward is telling a prominent media person intimate details of a search. However, there is something to be said for having a close relationship and knowing the decision makers that makes predictions like this more than just a “guess.” You can build an intuition off of those relationships.

He does but Jay Johnson is younger and is in his 2nd CWS in 5 seasons
He doesn’t have a NC but is also not as entrenched at a school as O’Connor is

I believe it was Project on here that is very anti-O’Connor…something about agents telling players/recruits not to play for O’Connor

O’Connors record is far better than Johnsons and we could get a solid 12 years with O’Connor by the rants standard (bc 62 y/o is too old to coach)
