It's all just a bunch of finger pointing and name calling from both sides. It's so dumb.

When I was still living in Baton Rouge in my 20's, I hung out a bar near campus and there was an old man we called Pop who also hung out there. He was a skinny half blind guy who was living on social security and welfare. Couldn't drive so he hitch hiked everywhere. Dale picked him up one day and heard his story. Got him courtside seats for the games and made sure someone gave him a ride. Also gave him money out of his own pocket.
Dale is a selfish old bitter man that couldn't get it done on the court. He is clearly mad that Wade replaced his boy and actually won shite and was going to easily make dale the second best coach at LSU basketball
For all of you who want to so harshly judge someone, we are all complicated personalities. None of us are all bad or all good. Dale came from the worst poverty and a poor family life. He had empathy and compassion for others he recognized in similar situations.
If he has really become bitter in his old age and done this thing, forgive him for all the good things he has done for LSU and others. There is enough sorrow and hatred in this world already without adding to it.

Dale Brown might literally be the most bipolar person ever. On one hand, he is very well known for stories like you told above. The man has a big heart and soft spot for underprivileged people.
On the other hand, he is also known for being very vindictive for those who cross him. He wasn't like this when he got here in 1972, but as he amassed a certain amount of celebrity and money, he changed.

I'm not sticking up for Brown here and certainly not Vitale. Huge WW supporter, and been a Culotta fan since he started his show with Ponamski. I'm just trying to follow the logic...
If what Vitale has been saying is false about "ncaa allegations" then what exactly is Bahnsen and Dale Brown being accused of leaking?
I can follow the logic of Dale Brown not being on good terms with WW (but I cant imagine/dont want to imagine that he would intentionally hurt the program)... but I cant follow the "it's coming from inside the program/Bahnsen" part of this all. If the shite is fake then what is coming from inside? Why wouldnt it just be Dale talking shite to Vitale about WW?

It's VERY POSSIBLE Wade has told bitch bahnsen to go scratch his arse in regards to bitch poking his nose around Wade's program, just as saban told bitch to go stand in the corner 2o years ago. bitch can't take being treated like the irrelevant pos he is, and starts feeding Dale inside dirt that may or may not be true that Dale (who is at odds with Wade) feeds to dorky v at crucial times in various key player's recruitments. I think this scenario is more likely than not.

Old frick doesn’t have more time left on this earth. I just hope he has to do a game down here. That son of a bitch might just get up and leave mid way through the game.

No one is firing Bo Bahnsen, he will be “retired” if he is complicit
Dude has been an employee 37 years, you don’t just fire him
But he can certainly be quietly shown the door if the Pres will allow it
Pretty sticky with CT on the BOS, would be a nasty internal fight for Woodward
I think Culotta was given the green light to show the old guard that the new guys won’t put up with this old BS

Culotta needs to chill.
I like him, but he is getting closer and closer to Richard Condon status

What? How? By outing Dale Brown?

Thanks for upholding the reputation of the Rant. If only you guys were funny. Kind of sad but it is not exactly new that some people can't find anything about themselves to be proud of so they have to put others down to feel superior.

There is no doubt that Dale is a good Christian man. He's done good deeds like this for yrs. However, he does have a dark side, too, and that part of him has been evident for yrs as well. The depth of his anger was on public display, through the national media, for yrs. I don't hate Dale but if he's guilty as charged & damaged the basketball program, LSU needs to cut the cords with him.
Posted on 7/11/20 at 9:14 pm to Keltic Tiger
What cords does Dale have nowadays? Does he get free tickets to the games? Does he ever officially represent the University? Are they paying him any kind of consultant fee?
You want to ban him from setting foot on University property? Wouldn't that be illegal since it is all public property?
Nothing will ever destroy the fact that he was coach for so many years or the games and championships his team won. I love Wade and he has gotten off to a wonderful start but he has a ways to go to equal Dale's longevity over so many years. He may well not only equal it but surpass it but it is a long hard road. SEC road games will always be like a war and only the strong survive.

Coach Brown will turn 85 on Halloween. As a kid, I made a point to listen to his coach’s shows on radio. I listened attentively to his post game radio interviews. I loved his stories about historical figures and his battles to help the underdog. He was an idol in my mind.
If coach Brown is undermining our basketball program, I will be very disappointed. It will alter my perception of the man I wanted to be like. As a young teenager, I followed coach Brown and baseball player, Steve Garvey. Garvey wasn’t the man I Thought he was.I hope Dale isn’t guilty of trying to hurt our program. Jealousy can make a man do spiteful things. I hope it’s not true.

frick you. Dale Brown did more for LSU in 5 minutes of his time here than you and your whole family will do in your collective lifetimes.
You probably weren't even alive when Dale was coaching.
frick you . I watched the game in person when broke dick Dale Brown managed to give away the game in crunch time. I've never done anything to help the team, other than have season tickets , but i mf'ed Brown many a night. You can't bullshite me. I played basketball , and i understand how having a good , or for that matter a shitty , coach matters. Daddy Dale and GoodOleLess belong in the same coaching group. Both good men, both good ambassadors for the university, both loved by players, both useless on game day.

Klingler, I relate to every word of your post. Dale WAS the man in my eyes. How times have changed!!!
