Funny it took Dale more than 2 years to get to a final four. I say give Wade some time. I also know Dale didn't have an ex coach trying to run him into the ground when he was trying to build his program. hmmmmm

Will Wade has probably orchestrated one of the all-time turnarounds in college basketball history. Calling what he was left with when he took over a dumpster fire, gives dumpster fires a HORRIBLE name. If we are LUCKY enough to have him stay here for 10+ seasons, you will see LSU turn into an elite program. I'm talking 25+ wins a year final 4's hopefully a natty or 2, number 1 and 2 seeds in the tourney on the REGULAR. As the amish would say "bet dat".

I also know that no coach has come out and said he was worried about playing LSU until he looked across the court and saw Will Wade coaching. Dale Brown, on the other hand...

frick you. Dale Brown did more for LSU in 5 minutes of his time here than you and your whole family will do in your collective lifetimes.
You probably weren't even alive when Dale was coaching.

Who gives a shite if he’s actively harming the program now?

He did a great job of not winning a national championship and putting us on sanctions. But yeah, let's name the court after him.

Side note: Hanging with Hester and Hanny is awful

Awful name and they should have given us less Jacob Hester... not more.

I grew up as a young tigah with Dale Brown teams. I LOVED the man as a coach, and a guy who would fight to the death for his players. He did a lot to build LSU into a power for 15 years or so. However, he has done A LOT to harm LSU, and if the truth is he has undermined Wade with the help of dorky v, he is persona non grata as far as I am concerned. Some of you "fans" (not a lot I don't think) fail to realize that we have an ELITE coach running our program now, and the sky will be the limit in Baton Rouge.

Please don't turn Tiger Rant into the Poli Board or the Saints Talk board... Both are unbearable no matter what side of the spectrum you are on.

I am not the one putting out "Black Lives Matter" on the Tiger Stadium jumbo tron and I am not among the idiots proclaiming "Black lives matter" in that disgraceful basketball video. This forum is for LSU sports and topics about LSU sports. Any perceived THREAT to the future of LSU sports belongs on THIS forum. The school itself is asking its fan base to choose a side between no partisan political activity and totally partisan political activity during an election year. They are the ones drawing a line in the sand, not me. Complain to THEM.

If they are insisting on shoving this shite down the throats of those who disagree and it's OK to be political as a state-funded university, when are the pro-Trump fans going to be allowed to put "Make America Great Again" up on that jumbo tron? When is the school going to release a "Make America Great Again" video during this election year?

We all know the answer is that they won't do this. That is why they should be banned from promoting "Black Lives Matter" and all of the destructive messages it sends to fans and voters. This is one-sided and pissing many of us off, perhaps purposely. Pissing fans off in large numbers is a threat to the future of your sports program and deserves being discussed on this forum because of that. Once again, the LSU athletic department is the one allowing this crap. I sincerely hope that the TAF is looking at this and plans some way to make it stop. The slogan "Love Purple, Live Gold" does not contain the word "Black". Stop allowing those who wish to force it in there somehow from getting away with their treachery. If they are so proud of this new slogan of theirs they should be proud enough to let everyone know whose idea is was to use it. Those of us who have been insulted by this deserve to know the name of the person responsible.

I agree. I stood by dale during Lester earl but to sell out wade for personal satisfaction is ridiculous. Lifetime ban seems light. Remove his banner too.

Until you folks can prove it, it's all speculation about Dale. Kinda like Wade and the potential NCAA problems. You gotta know it for a fact.

While I'm at it, few people have done as much for LSU as Dale. Nick Saban is another, along with Bertman. Yeah I know about the Nick hate, but he started the greatest football run in Tiger history... and we're still on it.

This. Regardless which side of it you fall on, it’s dumb to get pressured into a position that will alienate a portion of the alumni and fan base. The purpose of this movement is to divide and stir tension. Somebody at LSU took the bait.

These left wing idiots need to talk to their granny's about what REAL racism was. These fools don't have a clue. Racism doesn't exist today, compared to yesteryear. It's as good as it's gonna get.

Can you guys STFU about politics? It has nothing to do with the OP. Go to the Poli Board. You guys can be mad over there.
