Most people are like that id say. I watched the tape delay, but dont blame anyone who didnt. Its a midweek game that didnt end until after 11 on a weekday if you watched.

I got a text with the score in it, there was a groupme conversation going on with some friends at the game, TD obviously had the score, and twitter had it as well.
It wouldnt kill me to put the phone down. Luckily I'm not really attached to it. But for a measly midweek game there is really no point in watching it on delay. Better things to do.

If I was watching on TV, I would have watched it delayed just so I could skip the commercials. This is actually my normal SOP. I almost never watch TV live but with a stream I don't have a choice.

The broadcast started 30 minutes late then they showed about a 10 minute pregame with all the commercials. So yeah it was about 40 minutes.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconveniences this may have caused you. We value our relationships with both LSU and ULL and their fans and can assure you that we will have better contingency plans in place for future events that will keep this from happening again. We will re-air the LSU-ULL game again Thursday at noon. Our next live LSU baseball game will be May 12 when the Tigers take on UNO in New Orleans. You can catch UL baseball again on CST April 8 against Southern. Our apologies again for the delay on last night’s game.

ESPN has multiple alternate channels that they can show a game on if something goes long. That is the new world of tv sports coverage. ESPN has ESPNNews, two SEC alternate channels, and when those are full, there's always WatchESPN.

This is what I did. Once I saw the game was going to be shown on taped delay, I just found something else to watch and followed the game on my phone.
