bullshite. They don't like McMahon because he doesn't have love handles and dress up like a pirate and haven't since the day he was hired.
Bad take. All people care about is winning

People that dislike McMahon still are happy LSU won

And we already won an SEC game. Amazing, isn’t it?

CMM will win at LSU, eventually. IMO

Or you know, some people just support the LSU program no matter what and don't melt down, win or lose, because their coach of choice was fired and relegated to the sun belt.
The irony is this post is funny.

Ole Miss is not the only team that has beat us. Now, do Missouri and Vanderbilt.
Ole miss has a NET of 16
Missouri NET 27
Vanderbilt NET 42
LSU is a team with no bad losses, but also no good wins

I see what you are saying, but they could lose the rest of their game and not have any bad losses.
I still say the Vanderbilt game was a bad loss. You had to win that game, even though it was the first SEC game, to have any chance at the NCAA tournament.

I am very happy that we won an SEC game at home. Better competition and road games will be very tough. My own personal opinion is that it was more the players taking the game into their own hands rather than something that McMahon did. Let's see how the rest of the season goes and if maybe Mike Williams gets a little more playing time.

This year's LSU team is inferior to last year, having lost Jordan Wright, Jalen Cook, Jalen Reed, Mwani Wilkinson and Blake Dean. The interior game is all but non-existent. The fact they're still out there competing against SEC powers should be commended, not condemned.
Folks-- LSU men's basketball is not good this year. It's doubtful the even The Great Pear could win here now.

We haven't played against a SEC "power" yet. This basketball team is better based on how they played in the Non - Conference schedule.
Jalen Cook hardly played last year.
Cam Carter is just as good or better than Jordan Wright
Sears is better than Williamson
Blake Dean had one or two good games, but Collins is just as good and much better at shot blocking.
The injury to Jalen Reed really hurt.
This team is better, but the rest of the SEC is MUCH BETTER, that's why the wins won't be close to last year's SEC wins.

You left off Trae Hannibal who I think was our best player last year but no, this team has much better personnel overall.

Well this is all over the place.
Who is Williamson? Mike Williams? I think Sears is kind of a poor-man's Jalen Cook. He's not as capable of generating his own offense, but he's good enough to have some high scoring games (if he's making threes). Plus, he's been available all season.
I'm assuming you mean Hunter Dean instead of Blake Dean (who was the UNO baseball coach last season). Semantics aside, Collins has been a better shot blocker, but I think McMahon really wasted Dean last season.. Dean was more explosive and physical than Baker. Sure, Bake had a much more refined offensive game, but it was inconsistent. It's been a running theme with McMahon. He has some pieces who could potentially provide value, but he stays stuck on whatever his pre-ordained approach is going to be despite the results (or lack thereof) people are seeing on the court. No bigger example was last year's SEC Tournament game vs. Miss. St. After a sluggish start, Dean subbed in an completely changed the complexion of the game in LSU's favor. They started rolling MSU and even the announcers saw what everyone else saw, Dean was the spark who ignited the play. So what does McMahon do? Starts Baker in the second half. LSU quickly loses a 10 point lead and it wasn't until the 12:00 mark that Dean came in. By that point LSU had lost the lead and all of their momentum. There were many games last season Dean would provide a spark and the team was clearly better with him in. Yet, like and abused spouse, McMahon just couldn't quit Baker.
This team is more athletic. The SEC is also much better. But I just don't know how good this team is, or even could be, because of the anchor on the sideline often holding them back with bad in-game decision making.

You know what’s crazy, only Kentucky and Auburn had more individual players score 24 or more points in a game than we did last season (Wright, Baker, Cook, Hannibal). The talent has been good enough we just don’t have a coach.

You are right. The person I replied to used "Blake" and I didn't correct it.

Remember Les Miles and the 2007 UK loss?

LSU sophomore running back Charles Scott was the driving force on the ground for LSU, leading all rushers with 94 yards and two scores on seven carries, but was limited to just two carries for three yards in the second half and the overtimes.
