To be fair, I don’t have anything against the guy but he reacts like this when his threads don’t go how he wanted and then it’s just a big mess.

He acts like he’s some “insider” with knowledge that only he’s privy to and it’s just things that he’s either read in the paper or heard on the radio….. like every other LSU fan.

I get him being passionate about the Tigers but to take it a step further and act like he does sometimes, he makes himself look foolish.

TTT

And when he does this…..

Just have a reasonable conversation about the matter and don’t get all bent out of shape when someone else presents a good point as to “why” XYZ happened.

I’m not trying to be ugly to you bird, but it’s stupid of you to think Kelly could not have done anything. That he wrongly assumed staff could handle this in house. If this shite had happened with a business to you in your home or place of business. You would be fit to be tied. LOL

This stuff doesn’t just happen with Kelly, stupid shite like this happens all of the time out of pure stupidity. But these people making such stupid mistakes don’t get paid $100 million.

.

You do make a valid point considering the insane amount of money these coaches get paid, I can’t lie, I’m jealous, lol

You just admitted that he did something. Was it the right move? He had time working against him. You know what they say about hindsight.

I get the frustration but again, you’re using hindsight.

You also make a great point about how much he’s being paid. I agree with you there. But when it happened, time wasn’t on Kelly’s side. But as far as what coaches are being paid, you could make the same argument about Matt House.

But that’s for a different thread.

What really good D-line coach did you think was available right before the season started?

There are 120+ FBS teams. You think there was some stud DL coach waiting to be picked up that already understood the specific scheme that House was running?

I assume you meant “fired” instead of “tied,” but it’s clear you’ve never dealt with heading up personnel. Let’s say you have a sales manager that knows your business in and out. He’s good. He’s in line with everything you’re doing. Then let’s say he gets horribly injured or worse and he’s out long term.

How easy do you think it is to bring in someone from the outside to just slide into that spot? Someone who understands your business, your customer base, your mission?

It sure as shite isn’t easy.

So no matter how smart you think you are about running a football program or a business, you’re clearly lacking.

That said, Weeks needs to start over Speights. Denver Harris needs to play more. I’d like to see Womack get an opportunity to wreck shite. And I was okay with Major Burns returning the Pick for 6 instead of going down.

- Not TTT

this is a lot of gift of hind sight

Kelly was put in an uncommon situation with Lindsey’s health issues so close to the season. Made a decision and it didn’t work out.

Too talented to keep off the field when your secondary is a sieve.

You don’t want to start him? Fine. But unless he’s a real cancer to the team the best players need to play. And if he’s that much of a cancer just boot him.

Yeah because early August when your current D-line coach has a heart attack is the perfect time to go find a coach.

He already said before the season started he didnt think this was a national title roster and thought next year would be more appropriate to contend.

Kelly was wrong regarding both years. He has a national championship offense this year, and a defense this year and next year that doesn’t know how to clean mistakes when they shite the bed.

Yeah, what a big mistake. Kelly did not use his fortune teller to make sure his DL coach would make it to the season.

Let me explain to you how this should have been handled by Kelly. The minute he realized he could be without a critical component like a Dline coach for a while and realized he had no one on staff who knew how. At the very minimum he has to hire someone who can at least help his staff to analyze plays so his staff knows what they’re players are suppose to be doing right at all times on the Dline. No excuse for doing nothing!

Missing on a few key transfers we were relying on to be players for us defensively is definitely going to be something that aggravates Kelly. He knew he had a good offensive team and if we just had an average defense this team is undefeated.

Offenses tend to be better when the defense provides no resistance. See Big 12

A 77-70 game is nothing to me. Give me a 9-6 win in Tuscaloosa every time.
you're using two extremes - neither of which is appealing and both of which are very rare.

Now yes, the 9-6 win was spectacular, but only because of the game's importance to LSU. The game itself was not that entertaining.

Most fans (of all sports) want to see scoring, so a 30-27 game is much more entertaining than 3-0.

It's like in baseball - sorry, but pitchers' duels are boring. Give me a 7-6 game any day over a 1-0 snoozer.
