As someone who started attending LSUMBB games in 1966 when they were played in the CowBarn...HELL NO! to spending even .50 on that dump. IT needs to be torn down ASAP.

UL-Lafayette has done this with their "cow palace," Blackham Coliseum.

The Cow Palace wasn't that great to begin with.

I still say the most sensible thing is to build a new Bernie Moore Stadium for track and field across Nicholson Drive, somewhere between Alex Box and the river.

And then build a new basketball arena where Bernie Moore sits now.

Not sure where that leaves the Assembly Center in the future.

This would be awesome, spend some money upgrading the cow palace and then completely tear down the PMAC and put a new one in that spot.

Nvm, didn't realize the cow palace was in that bad of shape lol. But yeah I think it's pretty clear that the PMAC is either gonna be completely renovated top to bottom or torn down and new arena built in it's place

To all of the people that are posting about playing a game in the cow palace I first challenge you to go and look inside that place. I had been reading multiple posters comment about playing in there. Well I went in there myself this past football season and I concluded rather quickly that LSU will never play a basketball game in there. So before anyone posts about playing in there just go in there an take a look around. You will see the same.

not a real possibility anymore

It wasn't sensible even back in the 1960s when it was used for basketball. The place is nasty, and was back then. I remember being there in May of 1967 for my brother's commencement. BIRDS flew in from outside, to up near the ceiling, and collectively emptied their cloacas. It was brutal

The building is in awful shape and doesn't even have heating or a/c, or adequate bathrooms, etc. for a crowd of any real size.

Not to mention the re-wiring and electrical work needed to broadcast the game.

The place is a ruin and not even one of any historical value. It's better off razed to the ground.
