Could Nussmier have gotten an extra year of eligibility if he shut it down early?

Let’s say he shuts it down after the Vandy game. The moment we all knew something was seriously off.

Knowing how there’s no rules now and everyone gets told yes for anything, could he have gotten an extra year?

Just find an LSU friendly judge and any former player can be eligible.

That would have been too many games in, probably.

I don’t think any judge wanted to see another year of that.

Let’s move on.

Find the right judge, and he could still be on the roster this fall. He could sit the bench here on Saturdays, and in KC on Sundays.

Sooner or later if they don't get this under control, that's going to happen...

"Your honor, my client is currently the emergency QB/practice squad on his NFL team. He won't play this season unless 3 guys break their legs in the same game; if it's different games his team will make a trade for a more experienced guy. It's to his benefit to continue to get live reps at the college level. In fact it helps all parties: his NFL team gains further experience for their young acquisition at QB. His college team benefits from having an experienced (for the college level) QB, and his college teammates have an NFL ambassador in their midst to further prepare themselves for the next step in their own careers."

Probably but he wouldn't have wanted that, IMO.

I dont understand the infation this board has over Nuss. Very mediocre QB when you look at his SEC stats.

It was the same thing with Myles Brennan. Coincidentally fans thought both guys were better than Jayden Daniels

Myles played 1/2 a game with a ripped stomach muscle and almost won it. Dude had bigger gonads than 80% of today’s players.

Yeah, then he quit when he didn’t win the job. Huge gonads, I tell ya.

Nussmeier is a good kid. Mid QB. He was never gonna be burrow or Daniels. Maybe a Mettenberger… but more likely an Etling

I hope he has a long successful career in the league however he can.
