No. Lee wanted no part of Alabama. He was terrified the 1st game in Tuscaloosa. Mett…maybe.

Who knows but it was worth taking at least 2 series with Lee in a deep shotgun putting the ball downfield. We never had a chance with Jefferson and that offense.

Les was acting like a stubborn mule the whole second half. Had his arms crossed and looked like he didn't give a crap about winning that game. Something definitely happened in the locker room at halftime.
Les was a really good recruiter. But had no idea what to do with his talent. But he didn't recruit his o-line that good. Instead of recruiting offensive tackles, he would mix and match to fill the holes.

The only thing that would have made a difference is if Jefferson would have seen DeAngelo Peterson streaking down the field alone early in the 3rd. Score that one, and the game changes drastically.
Still, when we gave up 42 yards on the first punt return having only given up 7 all season, something was up. It wasn't just the QB: the whole team had read their press clippings.
GEAUX TIGERS!

JJ shoulders 100% blame for what happened. That was the worst performance by an LSU QB ever, and the standard under Les was already low
JJ was running for his life all game. No gameplan survives your oline getting pushed into to your backfield all game.
The truth about 2011 and the first bama game was they weren't ready for the option. No one was able to pass on that bama defense which was an alltime great. Bamas offense was more talented than lsu's.

Lee was a senior. Last game of the season. The kid was in part the reason they were there.
He deserved to be able to play for a series or two.
Fux Miles for not playing him! Fux miles for not trying something...anything.

I do agree that Miles should've at least tried a new qb. JJ was not getting it done. On the doorstep of a legendary season you don't leave any bullets in the gun.

LSU still finished the season with a better record than Bama.
Bama didn't deserve the rematch.
Etc.

Could LSU Have Scored in the 2012 BCS Title Game if They Subbed in Jarrett Lee
We’ll never know.
But I would love to know the real reason why he never even got a series to see if he could move the ball.
It was clear the plan with JJ wasn’t going to work, not sure why Les didn’t try something different

Why would you do this to us?

100%??? You sure??? Les doesn’t even get a small percentage of that disaster in your mind?

JLee ran that Offense as well as anything we'd seen (to that point). JJ got the nod because he was giving Lesticles the nob. We saw what JJ did. JLee could not possibly have fared worse.
If nothing else Lesty should have put him in at the point JJ failed. Studrawa was simply a puppet of Les.

Jarret Lee should have started the entire season. JJ sucked and had no business on the field at any time that season. I believe Lee definitely makes a difference in that game. He was by far the better passer, he had more poise and I think the whole team plays better with him at QB.

All of this. You want to give jefferson a series or 2 a game fine...but he was so inefficient throwing the football
