Again multiple sites have been contacted so clearly contingencies are being discussed.
Discussions aren't contracts. We can discuss having the game on the Moon.
I'm saying, pay a fee to lock the venue in - like an insurance policy. If you don't have to move the game? No harm, no foul. If you do, then the alternate venue pretty much has to honor the original deal. This isn't rocket science.

That's what I'm saying - Nashville is going to be really unpopular with the fans if that's the choice - I think some LSU fans may be setting themselves up for disappointment by being 100% convinced the game is in the Superdome this Saturday.

If that's truly the case, that nothing the AD of a team can possibly say to sway opinions when a natural disaster occurs, then frick ESPN and stop giving them the power to determine what our frickng school does.
Alleva could do that of course. But he would have to forgo the $4 million that this game would bring to LSU.
I'm sure you would be happy to make up the difference wouldn't you?

No control . Zero . No influence. None. When ESPN Tells Joe , who by the way, is the best in the business, he will tell us . Until then he will hope to have an announcement on another day. I'm down for all of that.

Even Phoenix wouldn't be that big a deal IMO. Sure it would suck for the fans but it's not like 70k BYU fans would pack that stadium out either.
There's more than 400k Mormons in Arizona.
The local LDSers would show strong for this game falling into their laps as well as bunch of Utahans would make the drive down if it were moved to the Phoenix area.

Yesterday I told you that Joe Aleeva , who is the best in the business, would tell us on Monday that he hoped to have an announcement on Tuesday . For that I was told to die and dipshit here requested that I be banned.
Yet today, that's precisely what occurred. Sorry for keeping it real?
We all know that Joe is the best in the business. We also know that he has no actual power...which is why LSU pays hima large salary. Because of his goodness.

But it is common for know-nothing gigantic whiny dripping twats to spew endless garabge on the webz. So keep posting - it will atleast help your post count.

Give examples. Go...
2016 - South Alabama - cancelled
2016 - Florida - moved (to TS - do we call that a win?)
2015 - McNeese (now - we did successfully move the SC game to BR that same season, so a push?)
Now - going back to Katrina - we have successfully relocated 3 games, including 2 conference games and rescheduled another 4 games at the same location (one on the same date).

The decision has been made. Waiting for contracts and permits to be filed.
Posted on 8/28/17 at 2:50 pm to Rebel
and when can we expect that to be finalized?

I hate the be a bearer of bad news, but this thing is about to dump a LOT of rain on SELA in the next few days as well. I really can't see New Orleans being a great spot for the game this weekend either.

It will leak tonight. Official announcement tomorrow morning.

And you are just slow playing the location for the hell of it?
