During his regular press conference on Monday, head coach Lane Kiffin gave a limited update on Matt Corral’s health and it was not a very positive outlook ahead of the No. 12 Rebels hosting LSU this weekend.

Corral carried the ball 30 times for 195 yards against the Volunteer defense — the most since BenJarvus Green-Ellis had 33 carries against Missouri in 2007. The Rebel quarterback also threw the ball for 231 yards and two touchdowns.

“He’s not in very good shape. Hasn’t been for the last two days,” Kiffin said of Corral. “You guys know how we are on injuries. Hopefully he will play, but I do not feel good about that right now.”

Gamesmanship by Laney.

I did say I wondered how beat up Corral was after carrying 30 times, but I bet Lane is playing mind games.

Kiffen knows exactly what he’s doing. Announce this on a Monday, the week of a Saturday game

Even O said earlier today that it’s Lane trying to throw up a smoke screen

I think he will start.

The LSU front 7 needs to go after him hard. Hit him every chance they get.

Knock him out of the game.

I think corral probably is banged up. But more so I think kiffin is playing head games ahead of the game. I would be very surprised if he doesn’t play.

All Kiffins injuries are fake.

I think we run for 300 and control the clock. Corral not accurate over 25 yards. He will try to run a lot

Toward the end of the Tenn game, Matt Corral’s head hit the ground and he had to come out of the game. The announcers said he looked wobbly as if he was slightly concussed. Maybe the effects are showing up post game.
