I just hate how this shite has snowballed. Lyles, Krags, Shep, and the fight could all be overcome individually, but I worry that the combination will be too much to overcome right before the season. What a shitty shitty offseason.

losing our #2 WR and our best playmaker isnt going to hurt us?

The fact that James Wright has been tearing it up in the scrimmages is encouraging at least.

LSU wide receiver Russell Shepard has been declared ineligible by LSU for violation of an NCAA rule, it was announced Thursday.
LSU will seek reinstatement for Shepard but he is expected to miss a number of games until the reinstatement can be considered by the NCAA.
You know where I'm going with this. How come it did not take that long for Cam Newton?

I just hope the bleeding stops; cant be good for the team morale and confidence. Oregon is for real.

Kadron Boone, James Wright, OBJ, Jarvis Landry, Paul Turner, and any other WR you want to name that you think will replace him have 6 catches between them...IN THEIR CAREER
Yea that is so comforting going into the first game of the season against a great team. So comforting.....
Its not that i dont like you, you just generally dont know shite about shite.

I guess we should have just paid Shep 180k and we would have been in the clear

+1 ... losing Jefferson and Shepard hurts no way you spin it.

Disagree.LSU players are doing it to themselves.

People are getting mad at the NCAA, but this is entirely on Shep. There was precedent for his situation before with Dwayne Jarrett living with with Matt Leinart with reduced rate. All Jarrett had to do was pay Leinart's dad the rent he was owed and nothing came of it.
Instead, it looks like Shep wasn't completely straight forward and legitimately violated the rules of the NCAA. In the end, you can't blame the NCAA on this one.
Les needs to get control of his team though as this is getting ridiculous, and this team obviously has no real leadership from the players.

How do you glean that from the press release?
Posted on 8/25/11 at 4:32 pm to Will2nd
Because the NCAA and Auburn pretty much worked together and his being ruled ineligible was all but a formality.

I guess better wording was that Shep didn't just follow standard procedure. Obviously he did something to interfere with the investigation in talking with his teammate, which is tampering. Not a wise thing to do.
