I’m with you on 5/10. I’m usually optimistic, but the 5 opener losses in a row combined with this being on the road is an obstacle that can’t be ignored. This reminds me of how I felt about 2019 LSU going on the road to Bama. I knew we were the better team, but there was more at play there than just one game after 8 losses to them in a row. I was nervous that would come back to bite us again.

I’m not comparing this LSU team to 2019- just that particular situation. That 2019 team was good enough to go out any beat anyone, anywhere, so history didn’t matter that day. It wasn’t getting into anyone’s head. They had the leadership and mental toughness to put all of that aside and just go win.

We have no idea how good this LSU team is beyond paper yet or if they have close to the mental toughness needed to pull this off, so the previous opener losses do matter until they end this streak. The team is laser focused on this game. How will they respond if they get off to a rocky start? We also know they didn’t have the toughness to beat a lesser team away from home last year. Have they grown up enough to win a true road opener now? I hope so, but there’s no way to know that before the game.

Clemson isn’t a word-beater and is only a playoff contender because of their conference, but they are still a very good team. In many ways, they are a lot like this LSU team: Unproven at multiple positions and they have some known flaws. But there is also some elite talent. This is going to be a battle. I know LSU CAN win. It’s just hard to go in believing that they will do everything necessary to get it done in a first game of the season.

spot on.

12/10 Clemson plays in a trash conference that inflates their record and numbers. They are used to getting boat raced week 1 and LSU will continue that.

Fraudulent Kelly sucks in opening games. If he can’t beat a shitty USC team in a neutral setting, he can’t beat top 5 Clemson on the road.

I think it could go either way but I’d put money on Clemson. Their D line could be a major problem for us. I don’t see how you can bet against Dabo after watching Kelly lose 3 openers.

3 of 10.

For three straight years we have started slowly. I do not care what Clemson 2025 is or is not. I am concerned about LSU.

I will be ecstatic to be wrong on this. And I have hope...

All of you with no confidence if they lose just don’t post after the game .yall seem to to hate BK no matter what happens. With yall if they win in a close game they should have won by more and if they win in a runaway they should have.BK will get no credit.Yall were probably Lincoln Riley fans or better yet Lane I lost to BK with my best team Kiffen.

I want to win. But I want to take away something positive at the very least l, even if it was something like we played great but just lost at the end.

The biggest thing not talked about with our openers under BK is the frustration each one had. Winning at halftime, taking our foot of the gas etc.

I’m over that.

3 confidence level.
OL that having never played a single down in a real game is a recipe for disaster. Add OL away game issues and it spells 0/1 start for the tigers.
Clemson will find a way to weasel out of home game at LSU.

LSU finally gets off the losing the 1st game skid and its a close game until the late 3rd when our defense makes a play and we capitalize on offense to open things up. 37-27 LSU.

It won't be as easy as their fan base seems to think. We may come out on the short end but I expect an all out brawl. If not, Kelly should be strung up
