Let the DVs rain down but this is a solid business decision pick by ESPN.
Lainey + Ella Langley are the 2 biggest names in country/pop music right now, with Ella now in front & gaining more distance. Ella will be on Gameday at Auburn or Bama this year, book it.
ESPN needs more female eyes on the viewership & socials engagement.
Hate it all you want but it's going to send the #s into record highs. Yes, this was already a huge game, but now with more females watching = ESPN made the right call.
The ONLY other move they possibly could have made for the female viewership would've been Flau'jae, Landry Kiffin or Mulkey (but she's a little politically hot right now with the Ukraine/Russia thing). None of those give the same #s as Lainey.
