You liberals managed to destroy everything in society now are trying with college football. The least you could do is look it up yourself.

Can’t say I’m a fan. I don’t have an issue with NIL until it’s used as a tool to get kids to go to a certain school. No issue with them making money for who they are.
Transfer portal can be fixed by one move. Making them sit out a year. Right now it’s dumb and it makes recruiting pretty useless. So much time, energy, and school resources are wasted.

Except that professional athletes, including the minor leaguers, are subject to contract terms. They have performance obligations and the teams own the rights to the players.
What we now have in college is a bullshite mix, killing the best aspects of college football in favor of the worst aspects of professional free agency.

People in this thread wanting me to feel bad for guys getting for free what millions of others have to sign a 30 year student loan mortgage for, just cuz they can play football.

The portal, in itself, isn't bad, but they got rid of the 1-year waiting period. That's what's bad about the portal.
NIL is terrible, and simply opens the flood gates for much bigger money, now over-the-table. Buying players with 100s of thousands of dollars (or much more) will now occur with regularity.
It's now a pro game.
