I don’t like the transfer portals. If you transfer, you should sit out an entire season .

Sorry you're butthurt because the coaches and administrations aren't the only mercenaries involved now. I know it must KILL you to see the kids actually have a say now.

If you really want to 'way back' some of this stuff, do a dive into how LSU got Doc Fenton to come play here in the early part of the 20th century.

That said, I think this NIL stuff is a can of worms that may have been best left unopened.

That's part of it, but I think it's bizarre how it extends into the pros too. People have a weird default anti-player mentality when it comes to protecting their precious billionaire owners...and this is coming from folks who show up on other boards as extreme "free marketeers" and "capitalists". For some reason they HATE when the players gain incremental control over their own destinies.

It’s called capitalism. If you don’t like it move to Russia.

haven't thought about that for awhile, I remember the last year or two they used those it was getting so bad that if you so much as slapped a guy on the back he'd have to get a new shirt, Charlie A used to go through a stack of those a game

I still love it , but the NCAA is trying to survive and made huge mistakes with the NIL issue. The athletes are now professionals who will go to the highest bidder.

Mother frickers have destroyed it. From the NIL to the transfer portal to the participation bowls. Blow it all up

College football regular season is still by far the best regular season of any sport in the world. Saturdays in the fall are no less fun.

Off field drama and social media BS that negatively affects your team is not as big of a deal as you are making it out to be.

Yeah like chase quitting and 12 other players quitting or transferring for more money to another school. This is real life not some made up Twitter story. Wake up

How is this any different than ever? Schools have been competing on facilities and the like for decades.

Has nothing to do with NIL or the portal.
