Only dropping them one spot is ridiculous, because we all know that had we lost, we'd have dropped to fifth at best. I'm not worried yet though, because there is still a lot of football to be played. They will get jumped by Oregon if the Ducks win out, possibly by OU if they do the same.

I’m a AU Barner fan for the Iron Bowl..nothing would be sweeter than to see their cross town rival put the dagger deep in them and finish them off for good... this bias shite needs to stop and this will be a sure way to bury them for good....

Why would you not rank Minnesota ahead of Alabama at this point? The Gophers have a big win against Penn State and are still undefeated, while the Gumps have to point to Texas A&M as their "signature win".

We all knew Bama would not leave the top 4. I hoped they would be 5 or 6, though.

Because what you actually do on the field doesn’t matter in college football so much as your talent level and perception. Put “Utah” on Alabama’s jerseys and that resume is barely top 15.

You think every voter and playoff committee member watches every game? You think they watch when Bama plays a shitty Tennessee really close but gets lucky to walk out of there up 3 scores? No they watch the same highlights the same polls as you and I.
The polls matter at the end of the year.
