I would have brought out my dynamic, innovative young OC with a solid plan for the offense next year that Joe could get excited about. I can’t imagine why Orgeron didn’t do that. Oh wait...now I remember.

I refuse to answer until you agree to sign a 5 year 15 million dollar contract, and if you prematurely terminate it without cause within the first year you will still owe me 12 million.

The dynamic OC needed is sitting down at FAU right now.

Which dream job: Ole Miss, USC, or LSU? I can't keep up with Ed O's dreams.

frick their dads. Orgeron is too weak to succeed if he can’t tell their dads that we want the best players on the field and there was never a guarantee that we weren’t going to bring other guys in to compete. What kind of weak shite is option C?

Yeah the dream job talk is just talk.
But option 2 is the only one.

A reasonable question gets 34 downvotes to 7 up. Wow. Lol

You didn’t ask a reasonable question though. The entire post is posed in a biased way to obviously point toward the answer that you like best. It’s a silly question because option 2 is clearly the most rational choice

Like whining about it will fix it, fricking idiot.

option 1
You sold your boss on Kiffin as OC, and we ended up with Ensminger. You cant put ANY blame on 3 QBs that have been bounced around in multiple offenses, because the coach doesn't have his head screwed on straight
THE ONLY reason we are even looking at a 4th QB, is because the HC is scared SHITLESS about losing his job. Because he has no history of running his own successful system

Y'know, I said option 2- come in and compete; but I think I was trying to think of it in a generalized manner.
The more I think about it, the more I go with Option 3- outright promise him the job. If that's what you want.
He's not leaving because he's homesick, he's from there. He's not leaving because of grades, he graduated in 3 years.
He's not leaving because he got into trouble and needs a fresh start.
He's got 2 years left and wants to start. He'd rather start at Cincinnati than sit the bench at Ohio State... or LSU. He's got a limited time to make his decision, and only 2 seasons to play. If he's not your man, don't waste everyone's time. If he is, fricking tell him so all the cards are out on the table.
Daddy's a football coach, so odds are everyone understands that if he stinks up the joint he loses the spot. But you don't put on a show for them to say "come here and have a chance to compete", he's done that already.
If he's not your intended starter, then send him an email LAST WEEK before this started, thanking him for his interest, and letting him know he's welcome to come tour the facilities during downtime, as allowed by rules and the coaches' schedules. And leave it at that.

Option 2. O can't promise him the job. How would the other QBs feel about being thrown to the wayside in such a manner. And O would really look stupid if he still said no. This happened to a smaller extent when O made the last minute pitch to get the Hawaiian QB who was committed to Alabama. You have to give O credit for at least swinging for the fences.

I personally would go with option 2 if I was HC. However, If I was Orgeron, knowing that 6 losses could very well end my days as HC of LSU, I would roll the dice and go with option 3 and promise Burrow the starting job. If he for some reason is not the best quarterback when the season starts I would give the starting position to whoever is and tell Joe and his family that they must have misunderstood. Since most people can't understand a damn word he's saying anyway it actually is a real possibility that his family could have misunderstood. YawYaw Yaw promises,Yaw Yaw lies, YawYaw Yaw whatever you want to hear, Yaw-Yaw just hurry up and sign!
