I think he was trying to fire up his team, which sometimes happened when the head coach gets ejected. It didn’t do any good though!

That and his very aggressive body language approaching the ump.

Take out the hate because you’re an LSU fan and watch exactly what happened and it was a very bad ejection.

That win streak... killed them.

They, players and coaches, learned how to handle the pressure of winning. They learned too late how to handle the pressure of losing.

I think he figured that since it was a championship game, the ump would give him a little more rope to get his point in, and the ump decided that the regular rules of baseball would apply.

He said in his press conference that when he was assistant coach he got treated like a toddler by umps because they wouldn't let him argue with them, but now he's a head coach so he's supposed to be allowed to argue.

Dude is way too full of himself. He's 48 years old and no one is going to tell him to go back to the dugout. Dude was off his rocker all week long. Say it with me, SHANT-A-CLEERS. We aren't Cinderella. Blah, blah, blah.

What a tool!

They know they are never getting back here

About 30 minutes after the game the whole CCU team came out and each player collected a little infield dirt. I’m guessing that’s their challenge to work to get back here.

It was. Here is what happened. Ump warned 1st base coach. HC said why? HC again said why? Ump said for arguing balls and strikes. HC said well you have missed three pitches. Ejection happened. He came out of the dugout to ask about the warning to his coach, not to argue balls and strikes.

Sorry your team lost man. It’ll feel better in a week or so.

Yes. Peace and understanding are appropriate prayer requests. We all need both.

I thought that as well until he said himself that the ump told him they had been warned for arguing balks and strikes and he proceeded to stick 3 fingers up and say “because you’ve missed 3 of them!”
I mean he admitted to doing exactly what the umpire said he gave them a warning not to do. That was stupid.

Well, he did wind up arguing balls and strikes, after receiving clarification that’s what his assistant was warned for.

Accountability comes with the big jobs.

I said earlier he reminds me of a douchey travel ball coach. And that’s exactly what he is because he thinks it’s all about him, instead of the kids.

I am going that he did it on purpose to try to fire up his team and was planning on getting tossed the whole time but didn’t expect it so early.

He ejected himself and injected himself into the conversation.

I guess that’s baseball. Lol

I know it's a meme, but Oklahoma States coach was 100% in the right defending his player in that situation.

You can be in the right and still make a fool of yourself. Trust me. I've done some work in this field.

He seems more like an overly serious travel ball dad than a D1 head coach.
